LOCKPORT - Robert G. Schendel, 59, of 3682 Ridge Road died yesterday (June 13,1983) in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center after a lengthy illness; Born in the Town of Cambria, he owned and operated the former Paul Bluhm Farm at his address for the last 18 years. He also owned and operated Ridgeview Plumbing and Heating and ran a vegetable stand at the North Tonawanda and Niagara Falls markets for 15 years under the name Schendel Farms. A member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in North Ridge, he was on the church's Board of Elders for 12 years and in the church's adult choir for several years. He was a member of the Lutheran Laymen League for 20 years, the ABC Wilson Businessmen Bowling League on Townline Road for 20 years, the Niagara County Cooperative Extension in Lockport, and was involved in the construction of the St. Peter School and gymnasium. Survivors include his wife, Marion (Lindhurst); his father. George Schendel of Lockport; two sons, David of Lockport and Brian of Apalachian, (sic) N.Y.; two daughters. Mrs. Jerry (Brenda) Hurtgam of Ransomville. and Bonnie, at home; a sister, Mrs. Norman (Norma) Seabert of Lockport; and seven grandchildren. He was the son of the late Pearl (Bluhm) Schendel. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Peter Lutheran Church, North Ridge, with the Rev. David Musall officiating. Burial will be at North Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the Hardison Funeral Home, Ransomville. Contributions to the St. Peter Lutheran Church or the Niagara Oncology Association, care of Dr. W.T. Wallens, 620 10th St., Niagara Falls, are acceptable as tribute.

On Saturday, October 30, at 4
o'clock, St. Peters Evangelical
Lutheran church, of North Ridge.
N. Y.. was the scene of a beautiful
autumn wedding, when Miss Marion
Lindhurst, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Herman Lindhurst, of Lewiston,
became the bride of Mr. Robert
Schendel. son of Mr. and Mrs.
George Schendel, of the Ridge road
The bride, who entered the
church on the arm of her father,
was lovely in a white satin gown
made on princess lines, buttoning
down the back to the waist and
ending in a long train. The sweetheart
neckline was formed of
Chantllly lace while the long sleeves
were fashioned with similar lace
inserts. Her fingertip illusion veil,
edged with lace, fell from a coronet
of orange blossoms. She carried a
prayer book arrangement of white
roses, the gift of the bridegroom
and wore a double strand of pearls.
The maid of honor, Miss Marjorie
Schultz, wore gold moire taffeta,
styled with long fitted torso, bouffant
skirt and sweetheart neckline,
and carried a bouquet of orchid
pom-poms. The bridesmaids
Levina Simmons. cousin of the
bride, and Mrs. Glenwood Moeller.
wore similarly styled gowns of rose
and violet, respectively. Both carried
bouquets of gold and bronze
pom-poms. Each wore a single
strand of pearls. The Junior brides-
maids. Miss Norma Lindhurst, niece
of the bride, and Miss Norma
Schendel, sister of the bridegroom,
wore matching gowns of deep aqua
copies after the bridesmaids'. Each
wore a gold locket, the gift of the
bride, and carried a colonial bou-
quet of pink roses and white pom-
poms.
Mr. Myron Behnke attended as
best man and the ushers were Mr.
Arnold Lindhurst, brother of- the
bride, and Mr. Glenwood Moeller.
The mother of the bride wore blue
velvet with black accessories, while
the mother of the bridegroom wore
plum velvet with matching accessories.
Both wore corsages of yellow
and white pom-poms. The grand-
mother of the bride, Mrs. William
Lindhurst, wore black crepe with
black accessories. The grandmoth-
ers of the bridegroom, Mrs. Martha
Peter wore black crepe with black
accessories and Mrs. Paul Bluhm
wore wine velvet with matching
accessories. Each wore a corsage of
gold and orchid pom-poms.
The church was appropriately
decorated with flowers of autumn
hues.
Immediatelv after the ceremony
dinner, was served at the Hy-Gate '
Manor. Lockport. to the bridal partv
and immediate families The reception
at the home of the bride's parents
was attended bv approximately
150 relatives and friends
The bride chose for her going-away
costume a powder blue wool
jersey dress with black accessories
