FRANK A. KAGE, FORMER CHIEF, N. T. FIRE DEPARTMENT, DEAD
Frank A. Kage, 71 years old, died yesterday at his home, 62 Ganson street. Mr. Kage had resided in North Tonawanda for the past 50 years and was well known and highly esteemed. He was born in Germany and came to the United States 62 years ago. Mr. Kage was in the employ of the Crown Insurance Agency for 22 years. Prior to engaging in the insurance business he was chief of the North Tonawnada fire department for eight years. He served as assitant chief for seven years before being promoted to head of the department. He was still identidied with the fire department at the time of his death, holding a membership in the Live Hose company. He was a member of Electric City Lodge, Enterprise Encampment and Rosedale Rebekah lodge, I. O. O. F. and Friedens church. Surving are a wife Augusta; two daughters, Mrs. Fred C. Hackbush and Mrs. George M. Turner; three grandchildren, two brothers, Herman O. and Charles E., all of North Tonawanda, and a sister, Mrs. Frank Zastrow, Buffalo. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the late residence and half an hour later at the Friedens church. Rev. Theodore Mayer will officiate and burial will be in Friedens cemetery.
