Spencerport, March 22.-A. family reunion
was held yesterday at the home
of Mrs. William Ballard in Water
street in honor of the eightieth birthday
of her father, George Amish.
Mr. Amish was born in Hesse-Darmstadt,
Germany. March 21, 1834. He
came to this country in 1856 and in 1861
located in Ogden. where he has since
lived. In 1857, he married Elizabeth
Schott of Hesse-Darmsladt. She died in
1920.
Yesterday at the reunion an elaborate
dinner was.served and among those as-
sembled at the table were the six children
of Mr. Amish. Mrs. Rutus Gardner,
of Ogden: Mrs. William Ballard,
Frank and Lewis, of Ogden. and George
and Henry, of Rochester: sixteen grandchildren
and six great grandchildren. Mr.
Amish is in the best of health and very
often walks to and from the home of
his son in Ogden a distance of nine
miles.

George married SCHOTT, Elizabeth in 1857. Elizabeth was born about 1832 in Germany; died in 1920 in Spencerport, Monroe County, NY. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

4. AMISH, Lottie was born about 1869 in New York; and died.
5. AMISH, Henry G was born on 14 Apr 1875 in Ogden, Monroe County, NY; died on 6 Apr 1933 in Rochester, Monroe County, NY.
6. AMISH, Margaret was born about 1878 in New York; and died.
