    Sanborn minister taught ceramics at shop
    SANBORN - Winifred Wolcott, 73, of Saunders Settlement Road, died Saturday (Feb. 25, 1995) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after a lengthy illness. She was born on Jan. 17, 1922 in Buffalo, the daughter of Vincenzo "Jim" and Lucia "Lucy" (Farinella) Andalora. She resided most of her life in Sanborn. On July 6, 1940, she married Earl W. Wolcott Sr. In her early years, Mrs. Wolcott worked at the Bell Aircraft plant and later at Miller's Pickles in Lockport. Mrs. Wolcott taught ceramics for more than 20 years at a shop in her home. Mrs. Wolcott was ordained a minister in 1976, and served as the assistant pastor of the Universal Church of Spiritual Grace of Niagara Falls. She enjoyed bowling and appeared on television on the weekly bowling show where she was the winner. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Robert J. Wolcott, Earl William Wolcott Jr., and Grant L. Wolcott, all of Sanborn; two daughters, Sharon Godding of Niagara Falls and Dawn Wine of' Burnsville, W.Va.; two brothers, Alfred Andalora and Charles Andalora, both of Sanborn; four sisters, Rachel Parlinski and Dorothy Pharis, both of Niagara Falls, Mary McCabe and Florence "Fony" Wilson, both of Sanborn; 17 grandchildren; seven greatt grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Robert Andalora. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Rhoney Funeral.

    Winifred married WOLCOTT, Earl William on 6 Jul 1940 in Town of Wheatfield, Niagara County, NY. Earl (son of WOLCOTT, Horace I and FIX, Dorothy) was born on 30 Oct 1917 in Cheektowaga, Erie County, NY; died on 3 Aug 1996 in Town of Lewiston, Niagara County, NY. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

    Miss Winifred Rose Andalora,
    daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James
    Andalora of Sanborn, was united
    in marriage to Earl William Wolcott,
    son of Mr. and Mrs. Horace
    Wolcott of Sanbonv.in a pretty
    wedding, solemnized in St. Peter's
    Evangelical and Reformed church,
    this morning at 10 o'clock, the Rev
    T. H. Twente officiating. The
    church decorations were baskets
    of garden flowers. Mr. Clarence
    Fischer sang, Because and At
    Dawning, with Mrs. Glenwood
    Warblow presiding at the organ
    The bride wore a long white
    embroidered vel-ray gown, with a
    train, and her long net veil fell
    from a halo trimmed with seed
    pearls. She carried a bouquet of
    white lilies, sweet peas and gypsophila.
    Her sister, Miss Mary
    Andalora, was maid of honor. She
    chose a long pink marquisette
    gown, trimmed with blue velvet
    ribbon and wore pink flowers in
    her hair. Her bouquet was of
    pink roses and sweet peas.
    The bridesmaids were Miss Flor-
    ence Andalora, sister of the bride,
    and Miss Florence Marcy, cousin
    of the bride. The former wore
    a long peach marquisette gown
    with matching quilted bolero,
    peach flowers in her hair and her
    bouquet was of red roses and
    sweet peas.
    Miss Marcy chose a blue mar-
    quisette gown trimmed with pink
    ribbon, wore matching flowers in
    her hair. She carried a mixes
    bouquet of sweet peas and roses.
    Mr. Frank Fix of East Amherst
    attended the groom as best man.
    The ushers were Ralph Blake and
    Angelo Stevens, of Lockport.
    Following the ceremony a din-
    ner and reception was held at the
    home of the bride.
    Mr. and Mrs. Wolcott left for a
    motor trip to New York City, and
    upon their return, they will make
    their home in Niagara Falls.

    SANBORN - James Andalora,
    71, of Saunders Settlement Rd.,
    died Thursday (May 2, 1957) in
    Ransomville General Hospital after
    a two-week illness. He had farmed
    for 28 years.
    Born in Italy, Mr. Andalora was
    a member of St. Teresa of the
    Infant Jesus Church, Niagara Falls.
    Surviving are his wife, Lucille
    Farnella Andalora; four daughters,
    Mrs. James McCabe. San Diego,
    Calif., Mrs. Walter Barfinski. Niagara
    Falls, Mrs. Terrence Comerford
    and Mrs. Earl Wolcott. both
    of Sanborn; two sons, Alfred and
    Charles Andalora, both of Sanborn;
    a brother, Joseph Andalora,
    Rahway, N.J., and 21 grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be conducted
    at 8 a.m. Saturday at the
    Pike Funeral Home here, followed
    by a Requiem Mass at 9 o'clock
    at St. Teresa's Church. The Rosary
    will be recited at 9 o'clock tonight
    at the funeral home by the Rev.
    Leo Glyn, pastor of St. Teresa's.
    Burial will be in Gate of Heaven
    Cemetery.
