    NORTH TONAWANDA — Roger P. Broeker, of North Tonawanda, Sunday, June 10, 2012, at the age of 88, at Schofield Residence Nursing Facility. Born in Tonawanda, Roger resided in North Tonawanda his entire life. He enjoyed golfing and fishing.

    Husband of the late Mary H. (nee Smith) Broeker. Dearest father of Diane Broeker and Roger P. Broeker II, both of Chicago, IL. Proud and loving grandfather of Roger (Linda) Broeker III and Lynelle Marie Broeker and great-grandfather of Max Edward Broeker.

    No prior visitation. Private entombment in Epiphany Chapel Mausoleum, Mt. Olivet Cemetery, at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by the SABER FUNERAL HOME (692-0271).

    daughter, she leaves eight grandchildren.

    Wednesday (Feb. 14, U66) in De-
    Graff Memorial Hospital after a
    short illness.
    Born in Buffalo, he had resided
    in North Tonawanda for more
    than 52 years. He retired In 1998
    as a foreman at Buffalo Bolt
    Co.,, where he had been em-
    ployed for 29 years. He was a
    member of the Holy Name Soci-
    ety of Our Lady of Caestochowa
    Church. He is survived by his
    wife, Mary (nee JartynskD
    Smith; two daughters, Mrs. Michael
    (Viola) Pukajlo and Mrs.
    Roger (Mary) Broeker, and a
    son, Leo S. Smith Jr. (wife.
    Helen) all of North Tonawanda;
    four grandchildren, Michael and
    Mitchell Pukajlo and Roger
    Broeker, all of North Tonawanda,
    and Sister Diane Marie
    Broeker with the Missionary Sisters
    of Our Lady of Africa, presently
    in Normandy. Mo.; a sister,
    Mrs. Stella Gkwinski of
    Kenmore, and a brother, Arthur
    Smith of Akron, Ohio.
    Funeral services will be conducted
    at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at
    Pawenski Funeral Home, 652 Oliver
    St., North Tonawanda, and
    at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Csestocbowa
    Church. The Rev. Chester
    F. Kotkiewicz wul officiate.
    Burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

    Charles Broeker, seventy-one years
    old, died this morning at his home at
    No. 196 Stenzel street. Mr. Broker was
    stricken with apoplexy recently, resultng
    in his death He was one of the oldest
    residents of the Gratwick section
    of the city. Surviving are a wife and
    nine children.

    Mrs. Wilhelmina Broecker, 73 years old, wife of the late Charles Broecker, died last night at her home, 192 Stenzel street. She was born in Germany. For the past 40 years she had been a resident of North Tonawanda. She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Rietch, Mrs. Herman Engel, Mrs. Otto Schimschack, Mrs. Fred Lavendusky and Mrs. William Pletcher, all of the Tonawandas; three sons, Albert Broecker, Pendleton, and William and Gustav Broecker, North Tonawanda; 28 grandchildren; four great grandchildren, and two brothers, William Mellentine, Germany, and Albert Mellentine, Niagara Falls, N. Y. The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at the residence and half an hour later at the St. Paul's church on East Felton street, Rev. H. J. Kleiner of the Redeemer Lutheran church, Schenck street officiating.
