  1. 1.  RICCHIO, Diane M was born on 4 Jan 1957 (daughter of RICCHIO, Anthony J and COLUCCI, Christine M); died on 16 May 2020 in Buffalo, Erie County, NY.

    Notes:

Diane M. (nee Ricchio) Bly, of Buffalo, entered suddenly into rest on May 16, 2020.
Beloved wife of William A. Bly; loving, giving, second mother to Nicole (David), Tabatha (Dajour), William (Sara), Matthew; and her dear four-legged daughter, Dakota Bly; cherished grandmother of Selena, Cayden, Noah and Adequin Reagan; loving daughter of the late Anthony and Cristine Ricchio; dear sister of Rosemary and Toni Ann; Godmother of Nicole, Philip and Adequin Reagan; aunt and Godmother of Paulie; and she also had a special love for a Frenchman, Pierre; sister-in-law of Debra (Joe), Richard (Karen), Karen (Tom), David (Nancy), Jewel (Todd) Muzette (Chris); she had a special bond and love for Bill's mom, Frances. Also survived by so many loving and generous friends and family.
The love of my life was an adventurous homemaker who loved the beauty of the world and what it offered. My family would like to thank the warm, sincere and incredible trauma team, social workers, clergy and nurses at ECMC who played a crucial and integral part in my wife's and my care. I felt loved and my family felt loved.
Diane was a blessing to many as evidenced by the outpouring of love and support on social media. Diane was quiet and demure on the outside but a fierce competitor bubbling up on the inside. She was loyal and true, generous and self-giving. Fitness was her passion because it gave her an opportunity to motivate others and change their self-doubt. She had a large capacity to love her family and friends. She loved Bill's children as her own and was thrilled to be a part of their life.
Diane was full of life, had a zest for theater and romantic movies and a loyal fan of Prince. She had a deep love and affection for the work she did at Horizon Village Campus, she will miss it dearly. Diane and her husband, Bill, were always on the go exploring and experiencing life at it's finest. When asked "What will you miss most about Diane?" her husband, Bill, responded "Simply EVERYTHING."
A Celebration of Diane's Life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements entrusted to LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Northtowns Chapel).
