    Nadene Anne Thiele Maxwell passed away on February 8, 2024. She was born on March 26, 1944 in Lockport, NY, daughter of the late William F. and Jane (Morrill) Thiele. Predeceased by her husband, Donald W. Maxwell and infant sister, Jeanine Louise Thiele.


    Following GRADUATIONS FROM Lockport High School in 1962 and Bryant & Stratton Business Institute, she was employed as a secretary at Simonds Saw & Steel Co. and Harrison Radiator Div., GMC, while being an active member in the National Secretaries Association, Int’l.


    Nadene and her husband married May 10, 1982 in St. Petersburg Beach, Florida, where they enjoyed retirement living for 19 years, prior to their return to Lockport in 2000


    She is survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. A graveside service will be held for family and close friends in Corwin Cemetery.

    long illness.
    She was born March 20, 1888
    in Newfane, the daughter of
    Frederick Feelow and Bertha
    Arndt. She was the widow of
    William G. Thiele who died last
    April.
    A resident of this city for
    45 years, Mrs. Thiele was a
    member of Trinity Lutheran
    Church and the Nu-Trend Club.
    Survivors include a daughter,
    Mrs. Carl (Inez) Genske; two
    sons, William F. of this city
    and Richard J. of Marcellus;
    two granddaughters, Mrs.
    Joseph (Sandra) Swiatek of
    Buffalo and Miss Nadene A.

    Mrs. Elizabeth Thiele. sixty-six years old, of the Shawnee road, near North Tonawanda, who underwent an operation at the Deaconess hospital, Buffalo, Sunday morning for embolism died at that institution Monday night. She was the widow of the late William Thiele and a life-long resident of Wheatfield. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Louis Belling, Mrs. William Schwarzenholz and Mrs. Earl Johnson; four sons, Robert, Adolph, William and Henry Thiele; thirteen grand children, one great grandchild, a sister, Mrs. J. G. Kuehn of Rutherford, N. J. and a brother, Fred Walck of North Tonawanda. The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock from the late residence and half an hour later at St. Martin's church. Rev. Theo. Berner officiating. Burial will be in the St. Martin's cemetery.
