    RANSOMVILLE, June 17 - The
    Rev. and Mrs, John Bruce, of 2203
    Hamtll avenue, Clarksburg, West
    Virginia, announce the marriage of
    their daughter, Mattle Belle, to Mr.

    Elwin E. Arnold, son of Mr. and
    Mrs. Milford Arnold, of Ransomville.
    The. wedding took place on Tuesday
    evening, June 11, In the Stealey
    Heights Methodist church, Olarks
    burg, with the Rev. John Bruce and
    the Rev. Romalne Armstrong offid
    atlng.
    The bride was beautiful In a white
    eyelet costume with white accessories
    and corsage of orchids. She
    also wore a gold wrist watch, a gift
    from the groom. She was attended
    by her sister, Miss Emma Jane
    Bruce, who wore a pink eyelet dress
    with white accessories and corsage
    of pink carnations.
    The bridegroom was attended by
    Mr. Jarris Pettlt, of Ransomville.
    The soloist, Mrs. Doris McNemar, of
    Fairmont, accompanied at the organ
    by Mr. Elmer Warnock, sang, "Because",
    and *T Love You Truly." The
    ushers were John Wesley Bruce and
    Richard. Henderson, of Clarksburg.
    Mrs. Bruce, mother of the bride,
    wore a navy blue costume with
    white accessories and corsage of
    white carnations. Mrs. Arnold,
    mother of the groom, was attired
    in a powder blue dress with white
    accessories and corsage of red carnations.
    Immediately following the ceremony,
    a reception was held at the
    bride's home, which was decorated
    with white roses. The serving table
    was centered with a three-tier
    wedding cake.

    Mr. and Mrs. Jarvls Pettlt, of Ransomville;
    Miss Elsie Snyder and
    Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Beecher of Nl

    Mrs. E. E. Arnold, Mrs. Berry
    Pask, Mrs. Vernon Bateman and
    Arlene Bateman, of Barker; T/5
    Neil Arnold, of Fort McClelland,
    Alabama.
    Others present were Miss Leila
    Snyder, Charles O'Conner, Jr., Miss
    Sees and Mrs. Sees, of Muncy, Pa.,
    Mrs. Archie McCoy, of Aliqulppa,
    Pa.; Mrs. John Evans, of Lansing,
    Mich., and Willis Moore, of Pekin.
    Mrs; Arnold is a graduate of
    Lockport high school and for the
    past two years has been a student
    In Fairmont State college. Mr. Ar-.
    nold graduated from Wilson high
    school. He was honorably discharged
    recently after three and
    'one-half years of service In the
    American Air Force aa a control
    tower operator, having served two
    and one-half years overseas in the
    Solomon and Philippine Islands.
    After the reception, the happy
    couple left for a wedding tour and
    upon their return will reside In
    Wilson, N. Y.

    Street, died today (May 11.
    1963) in Niagara'Falls Mem-,
    orial Hospital, after a month's
    illness.
    Born in Town of Somerset,
    he lived here since 1917 and
    was employed as a fire cap-
    tain at Bell Aerosystems Co.
    Niagara Falls.
    He was active in the Meth-
    odist Church here and Ran-
    somville Fire co., in which
    he taught first aid and once
    served aas fire chief. He was
    a member of the Moose Lodge
    of Rochester.
    Surviving are his wife,
    Erma Arnold: two daughters,
    Mrs. June Champlain, Addison.
    N.Y., and Mrs. Edgar
    Beecher. Niagara Falls; two
    sons. Elwin E. Arnold, Kenmore,
    and Rev. Neil Arnold,
    Perry; a brother, Carlton Arnold.
    Somerset: and two sisters,
    Mrs. Lucille Bateman
    and Mrs. Pauline Task, both
    of Somerset.
    Rev. Orrin Carroll will officiate
    at a service at the
    Methodist Church at 2 p.m.
    Monday. Burial will be in
    Somerset Cemeterv

    BARKER, Sept. 7.-Edwin' E.
    Arnold, 64 years old, former chairman
    of the Niagara county Board of
    Supervisors and one of the best known
    fruit growers of the town of Somerset,
    died late yesterday at the family
    home in the Lake road near this village.
    Mr. Arnold suffered & stroke
    about a week ago which culminated
    In his death.
    Funeral services will be held from
    the home on Friday afternoon at 3
    o'clock, standard time. The Rev.
    Ernest F. Scott, pastor of the Somerset
    Methodist Episcopal church, will
    officiate. Interment will be In Somerset
    cemetery.
    ' Mr. Arnold was born In the house in which he died, a son of the late
    Conroy and Sarah Arnold, pioneer
    settlers of the town of Somerset. He
    had been a farmer all his life and was
    an active worker in the Somerset M. E.
    church. lie formerly served as.
    superintendent of the Sunday school
    and held other Important positions In
    the church.
    - Mr- Arnold served as a member of
    the Board of Supervisors for' 14 years
    and as chairman for two years. He
    was a member of Somerset Grange.
    Mr. Arnold is survived by his
    Wdow. Mrs. May Thayer Arnold; two
    sons and two daughters, Milford. of
    Orchard Park, Carleton, Mrs. Beron
    Bateman and Mrs. Gerry Pask. all of
    marker; eight grandchilden and one
    Brother, Louis P. Arnold, of Barker.
