TOWN OF WHEATFIELD —
Arlene M. Goerss, of the Town of Wheatfield, NY, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2013, in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, NY. She was born in North Tonawanda, NY, on July 18, 1935, the daughter of the late Carl and Margaret (Ingwersen) Goerss.
Miss Goerss was a lifelong resident of the Town of Wheatfield. She had resided at Crestwood Health Care Center for the past several years, were she served as President of the Resident Council and volunteered for all types of events that took place there.
Miss Goerss is survived by her sister-in-law, Pearl Goerss; a niece, Susie (Charly) Kinne; three nephews, Stephen (Diane) Goerss, Scott (Kimberly) Goerss and Arnold Goerss, Jr.; also several great nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Arnold C. Goerss.
Private funeral services will be held at the wishes of her family. Memorials may be made in her name to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 453 Old Falls Blvd., North Tonawanda, NY 14120. Interment in North Ridge Cemetery, Town of Cambria, NY. Arrangements by the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, Sanborn, NY.

Funeral services for Margaret Goerss were conducted today in the Rhoney Funeral Home. Burial was in North Ridge Cemetery, Cambria.
Mrs. Goerss, 85, of Lockport Road, died Sunday (July 26, 1992) in DeGraff Memorial Hospital, North Tonawanda.
The former Margaret Ingwersen was born in Wheatfield. She worked as a clerk at International Paper Co. for several years and also worked at a family vegetable farm.
She was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in North Tonawanda.
Her husband, Paul Goerss, died in 1988.
Survivors include a son, Arnold C.; a daughter, Arlene, and a sister, Ruth Human.(Graves)

N 0 R T H TONAWANDA - Services for August F. Goerss, 86. of 44 Ransom St. who died Friday (Dec. 27, 1957) at DeGraff Memorial Hospital, will be conducted by the Rev. J. Walter Thiemecke at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Fretthold Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. Mr Goerss was born in the Town of Wheatfield and lived the greater part of his life in this city. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and was a carpenter. He retired 15 years ago. Surviving are his wife Mrs. Louis Rung Goerss, three daughters, Mrs. Theodore Jagow, Niagara Falls, Mrs. Herbert A. Milleville and Mrs. Clarence Witkop, both of this city, two sons, Carl A. Goerss, and Norman W. Goerss of Lockport, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

SANBORN-Cornelius C. Ingwersen, 89, of 4065 Lockport Road, died Monday (Jan. 2,1967) in Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Born on St Johnsburg, Sept 30, 1877, he was the son of Peter and Mary Oderboltz Ingwersen. He had owned and operated a farm at the Lockport Road address for 60 years. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, North Tonawanda. Survivors include his widow, the former Mary Mellenthin; two daughters, Mrs. Reuben (Ruth) Human and Mrs. Carl (Margaret) Goerss both of Sanborn, four sisters, Mrs. Katherine Ottermann, Port Colborne, Out., Mrs. Fred Ellman, North Tonawanda, Mrs. William Stenzel and Mrs. Clara Gombert, both of Niagara Falls; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Pike and Jones Funeral Home here, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Rev. Enno A. Schmoock of St. Paul's Lutheran Church officiating. TO CELEBRATE GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY—Mr. and Mrs. Cort
nelius Ingwersen, Lockport Rd., Sanborn, will hold an open house
from 4 to 9 p.m. on March 6 in observance of their 50th wedding
anniversary. The couple has requested that in lieu of presents contributions
be given to the Lutheran Hour. Mrs. Ingwersen, born in
Germany on Oct. 23, 1880, came to this city when an infant with
her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. August Mellenthin. Mr. Ingwersen
was born Sept. 30, 1877, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs.
Peter Ingwersen, St. Johnsburg. The couple was wed on March 7,
1905 by the Rev. J. M. Eberjein. Mr. and Mrs. Ingwersen, who have
lived in their'present home for 48 years, have two daughters, Mrs.
Rueben Human and Mrs. Carl Goerss, and four grandchildren,
Mrs. Leon Rowe, Norman Human and Arnold and Arlene Goerss.
