Arnold C. Goerss, of Sanborn, NY, passed away on Monday, February 25, 2008 at Niagara Hospice House, Lockport, NY.

He was born in North Tonawanda, NY on December 11, 1933, the son of the late Carl and Margaret [Ingwersen] Goerss.

Mr. Goerss attended school at Wheatfield #1, St Paul's Lutheran and Trott Vocational High School. He operated the family farm in Sanborn and was a foreman for the New York State Department of Transportation for 34 years, before retiring in 1994.

He was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in North Tonawanda, the Pekin Fire Company and the Sanborn Historical Society. He enjoyed going to auctions and parades.

Mr. Goerss is survived by his wife of 50 years, Pearl [Kiser] Goerss, they were married on September 28, 1957, three sons, Stephen (Diane) Goerss of Lockport, Scott (Kimberly) Goerss of the Town of Wheatfield, and Arnold Goerss, Jr. of Sanborn, one daughter Susie (Charly) Kinne of Lockport, one sister, Arlene M. Goerss of the Town of Wheatfield, nine grandchildren Jenni (Nick) Paterson, Holly, Sabrina, Nathan, Heather, Amy, Stacey, Timothy and Hayden, he is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Private funeral services were held at the convenience of family at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, with interment in North Ridge Cemetery, Town of Cambria, NY.

Memorials may be made in his name to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 453 Old Falls Blvd., North Tonawanda, NY 14120 or to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094.

Arnold married KISER, Pearl Louise on 28 Sep 1957. Pearl (daughter of KISER, Earl R and PRITCHARD, Edna L) was born on 6 Mar 1935 in Medina, Orleans County, NY; died on 12 Aug 2017 in Lockport Memorial Hospital, Lockport, Niagara County, NY. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Of Sanborn, NY, passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2017, in Niagara Hospice House, Lockport, NY.
She was born in Medina, NY, on March 6, 1935, the daughter of the late Earl R. and Edna L. [Pritchard] Kiser.
Mrs. Goerss graduated from Lockport Senior High School.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and having everyone over for Sunday dinner.
Mrs. Goerss was the wife of 50 years to the late Arnold C. Goerss, who passed away in February of 2008.
She is survived by three sons Stephen (Diane) Goerss, Scott (Kimberly) Goerss and  Arnold Goerss, Jr., daughter Susie (Charly)  Kinne, nine grandchildren Jenni (Nick) Paterson, Holly (Ezra) Staley, Sabrina (Arthur) Luke, Nathan (Carolyne) Kinne, Heather (Casey) Costello, Amy (Tony) Aquino, Stacey, Timothy (Tabatha) and Hayden Goerss, one brother Raymond Kiser, she is also survived by ten great grandchildren,  many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Goerss was the sister of the late Earl and Harold Kiser, Elizabeth Winters, Emily "Jean" Smith and Nora Fellabick.
Private funeral services were held at the wishes of her  family at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, with interment in North Ridge Cemetery, Town of Cambria, NY.

Funeral services for Margaret Goerss were conducted today in the Rhoney Funeral Home. Burial was in North Ridge Cemetery, Cambria.
Mrs. Goerss, 85, of Lockport Road, died Sunday (July 26, 1992) in DeGraff Memorial Hospital, North Tonawanda.
The former Margaret Ingwersen was born in Wheatfield. She worked as a clerk at International Paper Co. for several years and also worked at a family vegetable farm.
She was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in North Tonawanda.
Her husband, Paul Goerss, died in 1988.
Survivors include a son, Arnold C.; a daughter, Arlene, and a sister, Ruth Human.(Graves)
