    ENGAGED-Miss Caroline Ausderau,
    whose engagement to Mr.
    Robert L. Clarke. M.M., First
    Class. U.S.N.R., is announced by
    her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. W.
    Ausderau, of Niagara avenue.
    The bridegroom-elect Is the son of
    Mr. and Mrs. George Clarke, of
    Walnut avenue. He has recently
    returned from 30 months in the
    Pacific on an aircraft carrier.
    The wedding will take place the
    latter part of the month. Both
    are graduates of Trott Vocational
    school. Mr. Clarke was formerly
    employed by the Chisholm Ryder
    company.

    bridegroom is the son of Mr. and
    Mrs. George Clarke, of Walnut
    avenue.

    The wedding of Miss Caroline E.
    Ausderau, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
    Loren W. Ausderau. of Niagara ave-
    nue, and Machinist's Mate First
    Class Robert L. Clarke, son of Mr.
    and Mrs. George Clarke, of Walnut
    avenue, was solemnized in the Hyde
    Park United Presbyterian church
    with the Rev. Thomas Lamont officiating.
    Mrs. Thomas Innes. as organist,
    and Mrs. Angus Watson. soloist,
    provided the musical setting for
    t h e ceremony.
    Baskets of white gladioli and
    Easter lilies and white pom-poms.
    dotted with pink, were used for the
    decorations for the church.
    The bride, who was given in marj
    riage by her father, wore a tailored
    suit of aqua wool with cardigan
    neckline and trimmed with binding
    of black. She wore an aqua feathered
    hat an da corsage of red roses
    centered with a camelia. Her pearl
    earrings and necklace were gifts
    of the bridegroom.
    Miss Mary Martinez, maid of
    honor^wore a chocolate brown suit
    of wool with cardigan neckline.
    Her accessories were in brown with
    feathered hat, the same design
    as t h a t worn by the bride. Her corsage
    was of yellow rases and pompoms.
    Mrs. Stanley Degraw. cousin of
    the bridegroom, was the best man
    and the ushers were Mr. Norman
    Theiss and Mr. Harold Degraw.
    The decorations in the home of
    t he bride, where the reception was
    held, were Easter lilies, gladioli and
    pom-poms More than 200 guests
    attended the wedding and reception.
    The bride's table was arranged
    with an Irish lace clotn centered
    with a four-tier wedding cake topped
    with a miniature bride and
    sailor bridegroom. A buffet luncheon
    was served.
    The mother of the bride wore s
    gown of black with sequin trim
    Her corsage was of white gladioli
    and red roses. The mother of the
    bridegroom wore a gown of black
    With sheer blue yoke. Her corsage
    was of white gladioli and asters
    Guests were from Welland, Om,
    Fonthili, Out , and St. Catharines,
    One.
    The bride chase for traveling a
    coral wool frock with brown accessories
    The bridegroom-after a short trip
    returned to his ship in Seattle.
    Wash The bnde will remain for
    the present with her parents.
