Mrs. Florence Brownell, a
former Lockport resident, died
Aug. 27 at her home in Webster,
Fla., after a two-year illness.
She moved to Florida from
Lockport 15 years ago.
Surviving are her husband,
Archie B r o w n e l l ; two
daughters, Mrs. Cameron
(Barbara) Branch of Webster,
Fla. and Mrs. Terry (Dolores)
Young of Scotia; two sisters and
a brother, Mrs. Earl C.
(Martha) Chapman of Gasport,
Mrs. M.B. (Evelyn) Newman of
Florida and Earl Chase of
Lockport; also eight grandchildren.
Funeral services and burial
were held Aug. 30 in Webster.

Florence married BROWNELL, Archie H on 28 Dec 1927 in Lockport, Niagara County, NY. Archie (son of BROWNELL, Herbert J and HOSMER, Ella M) was born on 2 May 1909 in New York; died in Sep 1986 in Webster, Sumter County, FL. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

The marriage of Mlsa Florence
Chase of this city to Archie Brownell
of Detroit was quietly solemnised
last evening at the parsonage of
Clinton Street Methodist church, Rev.
N. V. Cossaboon officiating.
Mr. and Mrs. Brownell will reside
In Detroit.

L O C K P O R T - George A.
Chase, 93, of 266 Chestnut St.,
died Friday (Feb. 14, 1964) in
Lockport Memorial Hospital
after a short illness.
Born Aug. 4, 1870 in Hart-
land, the son of Albert and
Louisa Westcott Chase, he
lived in the Gasport area for
many years before moving
here in 1920. He had been
employed for 60 years as a
manager of cold storage and
fruit packing business and
had been employed at one
time for 23 years at the for-
mer G. L. Pugh Cold Storage
here. He retired 18 years ago.
His wife, Elizabeth Ann
Chase, died in 1957.
Surviving are three daugh-
ters, Mrs. Earl Chaplin and
Mrs. Archie Brownell, both of
Gasport, and Mrs. Milo New-
man, Leisure City, Fla.; a son,
Earle A. Chase, this city; a
sister, Mrs. John Baes, Gas-
port; a brother, Linus Chase,
this city; 12 grandchildren, 30
great-grandchildren and sev-
eral nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 2 to 4
and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Lange
Funeral Home. a service will
be conducted at 2 p.m. Mon-
day by Rev. William Pettibon,
associate pastor of emmanuel
Methodist Church. Burial will
be in Hartland Central Ceme-
tery.
