    Baker, 76, of Townline Road,
    died Wednesday (Oct. 19,1960)
    at Lockport Memorial Hospital
    after an illness of "Two
    weeks. She was the widow of
    Edward Baker, who died in
    1943.
    Bom in Town of Cambria
    Jan. 5, 1884, Mrs. Baker was
    a daughter of the late Frank
    and Rose Baer Kline. She was
    a member of Pekin Grange,
    American Legion Auxiliary,
    the First Baptist Church of
    Sanborn and of its Volunteer
    Sunday School Class.
    Survivors i n c l u d e two
    daughters, Mrs. Beth Bodie,
    Sanborn, and Mrs. Shirley
    Robinson, Ventnor, N.J.; two
    sons, Clarence and Sterling
    Baker, both of Pekin; two
    brothers, Raymond Kline, Sanborn,
    and Clarence Kline, Pekin;
    nine grandchildren and
    three great-grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be
    conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday
    at the Pike & Jones Funeral
    Home by the Rev. William H.
    Webster. Members of the auxiliary
    of Legion Post No. 969
    will hold a memorial service
    at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Burial will
    be in Mt. View Cemetery

    KLINE_-Died, Saturday. July 9. 1932. at the
    family home In Pine street, Sanborn,
    Frank B .Kline, aged 77 years. He Is survived
    by his wife, two sons, Raymond and
    Clarence, one daughter, Mrs. Edward W.
    Baker, all of Sanborn, one sister, Mrs.
    Sarah Home ol Niagara Falls and seven
    frandchlldren. Funeral services were held
    rom the home this afternoon at 2 o'clock,
    the Rev. Frank Taft officiated. Burial In
    Shawnee cemetery.

    SANBORN, July 11- Frank B Kline,
    77 years old, one of the best known
    residents of this vicinity, died Satur-
    day at the family home In Pine street
    after a long illness. Funeral services
    were held from the home this afternoon
    at 2 o'clock standard time. The Rev.
    Frank Taft of the Sanborn Baptist
    church, officiated. Interment was In
    Shawnee cemetery.
    Mr. Kline was bom In Wheatfleld
    a son of the late Elias Kline and Cath-
    arine Bush. After his marriage to Rose
    Baer he resided In the Shawnee road
    for many years coming to this village
    Mr. Kline w a s a member of Forest
    Lodge No. 202. I. O. O. F. of this village,
    the I. O. O. F. Encampment of North
    Tonawanda and Past Grands Council
    No. 5 of Niagara county. He was also a of
    Sanborn Fire Company No. 1 Exempt.
    Mr. Kline is survived by his wife, two
    sons, Raymond and Clarence, both of
    this village, one daughter. Mrs. Edward
    W. Baker, of this village, one sister,
    Mrs. Sarah Howe, of Niagara Falls, and
    seven grandchildren.
    The bearers at the funeral this afternoon
    were A. M. Barber, A. E. Reid and
    B. F.' Woods, all members of Forest
    lodge, and William Kinzly, George Love-
    land and Joseph Wilson from the
    North Tonawanda Encampment.

    Franklin married BAER, Rose E on 22 Jun 1881. Rose (daughter of BAER, Jonas and HOUSE, Sarah Ann) was born on 11 Oct 1859 in Sanborn, Niagara County, NY; died on 12 May 1934 in Sanborn, Niagara County, NY. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

    SANBORN, May 23-Mrs. Rose E.
    Kline, 74 years old, died at her home,
    Pine street, yesterday. Mrs. Kline is
    survived by two sons, Raymond and
    Clarence E., both of Sanborn; one
    daughter, Mrs. Edward e. Baker, of
    the Mountain road; seven grandchil-
    dred; one brother, Jonas Baer, of the
    Saunders Settlement road, and one
    sister, Mrs. Kate Miller, of the Lock-
    port road.
    Mrs. Kline was a daughter of the
    late Jonas and Sarah Hains Baer and
    was born in this village on Oct. 11,
    1859. She was united in marriage to
    Frank B. Kline in June of 1881. They
    settled in Shawnee where they resided
    until 1914 when they removed to San-
    born.
    Mrs. Kline was a member of the
    Church of Christ at Niagara Falls and
    of the Ladies' Auxiliary and Mission
    Circle of the Baptist church of this
    village. Three years ago she and Mr.
    Kline celebrated their 50th wedding
    anniversary. Mr. Kline died about two
    years ago.
    The funeral will be held from the
    home in Pine street on Thursday at
    2:30 p.m., standard time. Interment
    will be in Shawnee cemetery. Mrs.
    Kline had been ill since last Oct. 11.

    SANBORN, June 19.-Mr. and Mrs.
    Frank B. Kline of Pine street, will celebrate
    their 50th wedding anniversary
    at their homo here on Monday, June
    22. A reception will be held at the
    house from 2 p. m. until 9 p. m., which
    relatives and friends are cordially invited
    to attend.
    Mr. and Mrs. Frank B. Kline were
    married in Sanborn on June 22, 1881.
    Mrs. Kline was formerly Rose E. Beear
    of this village.

    CLARENCE O. LEWIS
    Niagara County Historian

    The Bear, road running south
    from the Ridge road to the Lock-.
    port road is not named after the
    bears that roamed the woods there
    in the early days, but after an
    old settler on the road named
    Jonas Baer who settled there in
    the 1830's. He married a 16-year-old
    French girl who .could not
    speak a word of. English. She
    -went to school nearby to learn
    English.. He was a weaver by
    trade, raised his own flax arid
    wove linens. He also wove woolen
    carpets. The name on the road
    sign is incorrectly spelled. Jonas
    Baer lived near the south end
    of the road.
