    Roy T. Berner, one and a half
    years old, son of Rev. and Mrs. T.
    H. Berner, 326 Niagara Falls
    boulevard, died this morning. The
    funeral will be held Sunday after-
    noon. Services at the residence
    will precede those ot be conduct-
    ed at the St. Martin's church at
    2:30 o'clock. The services at the
    house will be private. Interment
    will be at St. Martin's cemetery.
    Besides his parents the child is
    survived by four sisters.

    BERNER - Rev. Theophilus Berner, 76, of 7412 Shawnee Road, Town of Wheatfield, Sunday (Dec. 10, 1961) in DeGraff Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Beloved husband of Bertha (nee Feders) Berner; father of Mrs. Edgar (Florence) Huber, Mrs. Rupert (Laura) Borton, Miss Phyllis Berner and Mrs. Harold (Carol) Gebhardt, all of North Tonawanda, and Mrs. Mark (Ellen) Harris of Kalamazoo, Mich.; grandfather of 14 grandchildren; brother of Mrs. Alfred Heller and Mrs. Herbert Hollinger, both of Kitchener, Ont., Mrs. Lydia Paschka of Hamburg, N.Y., Mrs. George Dewar of Wyoming, Ont., and Mrs. Michael Sammentinger of Fort Wayne, Ind. Friends received at Brunner Funeral Home, 156 Robinson St., North Tonawanda, until 10 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12, 1961. Mr. Berner will lie in state at St. Martin Lutheran Church, Martinsville, Old Falls Boulevard, at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13, where services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m., the Rev. Luther Knauff officiating. Interment in White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery.

    The congregation of St. Martin's
    Church. Monday evening, honored
    its pastor, the Rev. Theophilus
    Berner on the 45th anniversary of
    his ordination in St. Martin's
    Church and his birthday anniversary.
    A potluck supper was served in
    the dining rooms of the church.
    The room and tables were decorated
    with Fall flowers. There was
    a beautifully decorated anniversary
    cake, baked by Mrs. Henry
    Thiele Jr. The Rev. Merton Baseler
    of St. Peter's American Lutheran
    Church spoke.
    Mr. Berner, a native of Canada,
    has lived in this vicinity since he
    was a young boy. His father was a
    former pastor and superintendent
    of St. John's Orphan Home in Buf
    ialo. Mr. Berner was graduated
    from the Buffalo Seminary.
    The congregation presented its
    pastor with a purse. A social evening
    followed supper.

    Wheatfield, died Monday (Oct.
    18. 1965) in DeGraff Memorial
    hospital.
    Born in Buffalo, she lived
    in Wheatfield for the last 58
    years. She was a life-long
    member of St. Martin's Lutheran
    Church.
    She was the widow of Theophilus
    Berner woh died Dec.
    10, 1961.
    Surviving are five daugh-
    ers, Mrs. Edgar (Florence)
    Huber, Mrs. Rupert (Laura)
    Barton, Miss Phyllis Berner,
    Mrs. Harold Carroll Gebhardt,
    aII of this city, and Mrs. Mark
    Ellen Harris, of Kalamazoo,
    Iich.; a brother. Dr. John F.
    Fedders. D.D.. of St. Peters-
    burg, Fla., and 14 grandchildren.
    Friends may call from 2 to 4
    and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Brun-
    ner Funeral Home. Services,
    will be at St. Martin's Luther-
    an Church, Old Niagara Falls
    Boulebaard, at 1:30 p.m. Thurs-
    day by Rev. Luther Knauff.
    Burial will be in White Chapel
    Memorial Park.
