June (nee Miller) Goerss, 60, of the Town of Tonawanda, Wednesday (April 27, 1983) at DeGraff Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
Beloved wife of Kenneth Goerss; mother of Mrs. Emmett (Marla June) Ballard of No. Tona. and the late Thomas Goerss; daughter of Mrs. Lynes Miller of No. Tona.; daughter-in-law of Mrs. Wilmer Goerss of No. Tona.; grandmother of Erin Ann Ballard; aunt of several nieces and nephews.
Friends received Thursday, 7-9 p.m. and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Brunner Funeral Home, 156 Robinson St., No. Tona. Services at the Zion United Church of Christ, Parker and Koenig Circle, Town of Tona. Saturday April 30, 1983 at 10 a.m., the Rev. Saul Katz will officiate. Interment Acacia Park Cemetery. At the request of the family, flowers gratefully declined. If so desired, Memorials may be made to Zion United Church of Christ.

A pretty fall wedding was solemnized
at 7 p.m. on Saturday,
November 10 in Friedens Evangelical
and Reformed Church,
when Miss June Miller, daughter
cf Mr. and Mrs. Lynes Miller, oi
1008 Falls boulevard, and Kenneth
Goerss, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Wilmer Goerss of Pierce avenue,
were united in marriage. The Rev.
Theodore Mayer officiated.
The church, lighted with candlelight,
was decorated with baskets
of carnations and chrysanthemums
and palms. Preceding
the ceremony Miss Irma Mueller
sang "Because", accompanied >y
Mrs Theorode Mayer at the organ,
and as the couple took their
vows at the altar, "I Love Thee".
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, wore a gown of
white net with long full train. Her
dress was fashioned with a bodice
of white taffeta, with panel of
the same'material extending down
the front of the skirt. She wore a
fingertip veil of illusion held with
a Dutch cap of seed pearls. Her
bouquet was of white chrysanthemums,
roses and gardenias
Mrs. Walter Arenz, sister of the
bridegroom, the matron-of-honor,
wore an ice blue satin gown, with
bracelet length sleeves, and full
skirt, with a panel of ruffles at
the back extending from the waist
to the hem. Miss Bobett Moore of
Sacramento, California, cousin of
the bride, Mrs. Edward Andrees,
bridesmaids, and Kathleen Arenz,
niece of the bride, the flower girl,
all wore gowns identical to 'he
matron-of-honor's, in rose, nil*
green and blue. They carried bouquets
of pink carnations and maroon
chrysanthemums.
The bridegroom was attended
by his brother, Merritt, as best
man and Seymour Goerss and La-
Verne Otterstein were the ushers.
The bride's mother wore a black
dress with aqua accessories. The
bridegroom's mother chose a
brown dress with matching accessories.
Both wore corsages of roses
and gardenias.
After the ceremony a reception
was held and buffet refreshments
served to 130 guests.
Mr. and Mrs. Goerss left for a
wedding trip in Pennsylvania, the
bride wearing a purple wool suit,
white blouse and black accessories.
They will make their home in
247 Tremont street.
