    Thomas L. Ball, life-long resident of
    Lockport, died this morning at 3
    o'clock, at his home No. 124 Saxton
    street. A complication of diseases, from
    which he had been suffering for some
    time, caused his death. He was 52
    years old. He leaves a wife. Mary T.
    Ball, and two sons, Lawrence E at
    home, and Rollin T., of No. 112 Grant
    street, this city, besides two s i s t e r s and
    one brother. Mrs. Charles Meyers of
    Buffalo; Mrs. Everett Kime of Niagara
    Fallss, and Rev. Robert H. Ball, of Fair
    Haven, Vermont.
    Mr. Ball was born in Lockport December
    20. 1868, and has lived here all
    his life. He was an expert candy maker,
    and has been In the confectionery
    and lce Cream business, conducting
    stores in this clty and at Olcott
    Beach. He was proprietor of the old
    Castle Inn at Olcott, near the creek
    bridge, and after that was destroyed by
    fire, he build the New Castle Inn across
    from the park. He was a member of
    -Niagara Lodge, No. 375. F. & A. M.
    The funeral services will be held on
    Saturday afternoon at 2:30 at the Bap-
    tist Church. Interment will be in Cold
    .Springs cemetery.

    Funeral services for Mrs. Mary
    T. Ball, 86, widow of Thomas L.
    Ball, 124 Saxton St., who died Saturday
    afternoon after an illness of
    16 weeks, were held this afternoon
    at 2 o'clock at the Gaul Funeral
    Home, 263 East Ave. The Rev.
    Nolan Brisco of the Christian Missionary
    Alliance Church officiated.
    Burial was in Cold Spring
    Cemetery.
    Mrs. Ball was born In the Town
    of Wilson on Aug. 15, 1868, daughter
    of Mr. and Mrs. John Bobzien.
    She lived most of her life in Lockport.
    Her husband, for ten years
    prior to his death in 1921 operated
    a sweet shop in Locust Street.
    Surving are two sons, Lawrence
    E. Ball, Town of Pendleton
    and Rollan T. Ball, Town of Lockport;
    and a grandson, Thomas L
    Ball of Pendleton.

    Mrs. Mary Snell, Supervisor's Widow, Dies in Buffalo
    Mrs. Mary Snell, 92, widow of a former Town of Pendleton Supervisor, died Monday (Aug. 30, 1956) in a Buffalo hospital after an illness of several years.
    Born Aug. 3, 1864 in Pendleton, she was the daughter of Mathias and Dorothy Hartel Wendel, and spent the greater part of her life in that area. Her husband, an active Democratic insider and former supervisor, town clerk, and highway superintendent, died about 21 years ago.
    Mrs. Snell was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Reformd Church, Wendelville, and the Ladies Aid Society.
    Surviving are one son, Homer P. Snell, and two daughters, Mrs. Lawrence E. Ball and Miss Erna M. Snell, all of Pendleton; onebrother, H.P. Wendel, Lockport, and four grandchildren.
    Services will be Thursday afternoon at 2:30 in Gaul Funeral Home, 263 East Ave., with the Rev. Karl M. Kindt, St. Paul's Church officiating. Burial will be in Bear Ridge Cemetery.
