He was born on March 16, 1950 in Rochester, NY, a son of the late George William Scudamore, Jr. and Lois N. (Haseley) Scudamore Lorenze. Scott served in the United States Air Force from 1968-1988. After retiring from the military, he worked for Hewlett-Packard and retired after 20 years service. He was a member of Grace and Glory Lutheran Church; the Lake Monticello Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department; IMBA; Xterra; M.O.R.E. and numerous regional and local biking organizations. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Margaret Mary (Menousek) Scudamore; two daughters, Jennifer Rodriguez and her husband, Carl, of Montclair, VA and Krista Scudamore, currently serving in the United States Navy in San Diego, CA; a brother, Marc Scudamore and wife, Brigitte, of Albuquerque, NM; two sisters, Robin Vertino and husband, Mickey, of Grand Island, NY and Laurie Bartlett and Dave LaBruna of North Tonawanda, NY; two grandchildren, Kyle and Marie Rodriguez; two nieces, Amanda Bartlett and Matt Gillingham, and Stephanie Yager and husband, Nick; and two nephews, Michael Vertino and wife, Melissa, and Ryan Vertino; four great-nephews; and three grand-dogs. A funeral service will be conducted at 3 PM on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Grace and Glory Lutheran Church by the Reverend Ken Albright. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 AM on Monday, January 6, 2014 at Quantico National Cemetery in Triangle, VA. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Friday, January 3, 2014 and again from 9 AM - 12 PM on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Thacker Brothers Lake Monticello Funeral Home, 138 Heritage Dr., Palmyra, VA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Trails for Youth (www.trailsforyouth.org) or the Lake Monticello Rescue Squad.     The bride is the daughter of
    Mr. and Mrs. Cyril Menousek,
    1610 N Street, Omaha. The
    bridegroom is the son of Mrs.
    Lois N. Scudamore, 1383 Moll
    St., North Tonawanda.
    Given in marriage by her
    father, the bride wore a nylon
    chiffon gown with pearl and
    satin appliques down the front
    and trimming the chapel
    length train. A pearl and
    sequin band edged with
    organdy bows held her elbow
    length train. She carried a
    bouquet of white carnations
    and pink roses.
    Miss Mary Ann Menousek,
    sister of the bride, was maid of
    honor. Miss Robin Scudamore
    and Miss Laurie Scudamore,
    both sis.ters.of the bridegroom,
    and Miss Joann Nanfito were
    bridesmaids. All attendants
    wore dresses with cherry red
    velvet skirts and pink chiffon
    bodices with ruffled' fronts.
    They carried pink parasols
    filled with pink and red roses.
    Marc Scudamore, brother of
    the bridegroom, was best man.
    Ushers were James Sztorc,
    John Rydzinski and Paul
    Menousek.
    After an evening reception at
    St. Agnes Church Hall, the
    couple departed for a wedding
    trip to Niagara Falls, Ont, and
    Lake Placid, N.Y. Staff Sgt.
    and Mrs. Scudamore will
    reside at 9725 Adams Place,
    Apt 11, Omaha, after Oct. 23.

    Lois N. Scudmore Lorenze of Upper Mountain Road, a registered nurse, died Friday (May 30, 1997) in DeGraff Memorial Hospital, North Tonawanda, after a six-month illness. She was 69.
    The former Lois Haseley was born in Niagara Falls. She graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1946 and earned her nursing degree from Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester in 1949
    After moving to North Tonawanda, Mrs. Lorenze worked for five years as a field nurse for Emerson-Day Co. during the construction of the Niagara Power Project.
    In 1954, she joined DeGraff Memorial Hospital and was instrumental in organizing its Intensive Care and Coronary Care units.
    In 1973, Mrs. Lorenze moved to Sanborn, where she worked as an office nurse for Dr. Robert Rose until 1979.
    From 1980 to 1990, when she retired, Mrs. Lorenze was the school nurse for Orleans-Niagara Board of Cooperative Educational Services Center in Sanborn.
    Survivors include her husband of 23 years, James F.; four sons, James R. of Mobile, Ala., Douglas M. of Youngstown, Scott W. Scudmore of Dunfries, Va., and Marc A. Scudmore of North Tonawanda; two daughters, Robin Vertino of Grand Island and Laurie A. Bartlett; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Monday in St. James Lutheran Church, 2437 Niagara Road, Bergholz. Burial will be in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston

    Frank. C. Haseley, retired assistant station superintendent of Suspension Bridge Station of the Niagara Falls Post Office, died today (Jan. 16, 1963) at DeGraff Memorial Hospital in North Tonawanda. He was 63. Mr. Haseley had made his home at 1383 Moll St., North Tonawanda, since shortly before his retirement in October 1961. A Niagara Falls native, he formerly resided at 1506 Cleveland Ave. here. Mr. Haseley joined the post office as a substitute clerk in November 1923. He received subsequent promotions and in 1955 was named a foreman. He was appointed assistant superintendent of the Falls Station in 1957 and became assistant superintendent of the Bridge Station in 1958. Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Nella Haseley, a daughter, Mrs. Louis Scutmore, North Tonawanda ; three brothers, Elmer, Herman and Carl Haseley , and four grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are being made at the Gridley Funeral Home here.
