KOHLER- Howard F. Kohler, 58, of North Tonawanda suddenly Sunday (July 13, 1986) in DeGraff Memorial Hospital. Mr. Kohler was an insurance agent for Lutheran Brotherhood for 27 years and a former employee of Wurlitzer Co. Mr. Kohler was a member of Life Underwriters of America and Wheatfield Lions Club.
Surviving is a wife Janice (nee: Anderson); 2 daughters Karen Moretti and Susan Fortier of Niagara Falls, NY; 2 grandchildren; Christine and Matthew Fortier; and a brother Richard of Lockport; step-son Scott E. Jones of Williamsville and a step-daughter...Fretthold Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Burial in Elmlawn Cemetery.

Church on Saturday afternoon,
May 1, at 4 o'clock for the marriage
of Miss Betty Jane Zastrow,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August
Zastrow to Howard Kohler, son
of Mrs. Lillian Kohler. The Rev.
H. G. Kleiner officiated and Mrs.
Smith, organist played during
the double ring ceremony.
The bride was lovely in an
aquamarine suit with which she
wore amber accessories, an aqua
headdress and an orchid corsage.
Miss Helen Ellman her cousin
and only attendant was attired in
a dusty rose suit and beige accessories
and wore a gardenia
corsage.
The bride's mother wore a
black suit with gray accessories
and a corsage of pink roses. The
bridegroom's mother also wore a
black suit with black accessories
and red carnations in her corsage.
Milton Warblow attended his
cousin as best man.
A wedding dinner for the immediate
family and attendants
was served at the Park Lane,
Buffalo and a reception was held
in the evening at the bride's
home, 384 Robinson St.

NORTH TONAWANDA - A happy vacation ended in tragedy last night for Howard Kohler, St., 42, and his family, of 533 East Thompson street, when Mr. Kohler was drowned while fishing off Morgan's Point, Lake Erie, Ont. The body has not been recovered. Mr. Kohler and his wife, Mrs. Lillian Kohler, and two sons, Howard Kohler, Jr., and Richard Kohler, were on vacation with Harvey Minor. 24 Felton street, Tonawanda, at the latter's cottage at Morgan's Point. Mr. Kohler, his son, Howard, Jr., and Mr. Minor were fishing about half a mile off Morgan's Point at 7:30 o'clock last evening. The sea was rough and a heavy wave capsized the boat. Kohler went under but Minor and the boy managed to get hold of him and held him up for some time. Finally he was torn from their grasp by a wave and disappeared from sight. They yelled for help but it was not until 10 o'clock last night that their plight was discovered by persons on shore. Another cottager, whose identity was not learned, put out in a rowboat and brought the exhausted man and boy to shore. They said that they could not have hung on more than a few more minutes. Mr. Kohler was employed as a foreman in the tube department of the Spauldlng Fibre company plant at Tonawanda, where he had worked for the last 22 years. His wife and two sons survive.

NORTH TONAWANDA - Mrs. Lillian Fisher Kohler, of 533 E. Thompson St., died Sunday (Jan. 9, 1966) in De Graff Memorial Hospital. She was a lifelong resident here and a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. She was the widow of Howard E. Kohler. Survivors include two sons, Howard F. and Richard A. Kohler, both of this city: two sisters, Mrs. Walter Wrege, Wheatfield, and Mrs, Lester Warblow. this city, and two grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Fretthold Funeral Home, Rev. Russell R. Myers officiating. Burial will be in Elmlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Zastrow, 59. of 384 Robinson St. died yesterday at Millard Fillmore Hospital in Buffalo. he is survived by his wife Esther, a son Eugene, a daughter, Mrs Howard Kohler, all of this city; a brother, Frank Zastrow, Hilton, and four sisters, Mrs. Emma Holland and Mrs. Edward Ellman, this city; Mrs. Frank Quester and Mrs. Fred Wendt, Niagara Falls. Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Fretthold Funeral Home and 2:30 at Redeemer Lutheran Church. Interment will be made in Elmlawn Cemetery.

JOHN P. KOHLER
John P. Kohler, 91, died Sunday at his home, 16 Ward road. He was born in the dwelling where he died and where he had resided all his life. A charter member of the St. Peter's Evangelical and Reformed church on Oliver, he assisted in the construction of the edifice. He is survived by four daughters, Mrs, William Roloff, Mrs. Lewis Fehrman and Mrs. Lillian Eggert of North Tonawanda and Mrs. Charles Karre of Reading, Pa.; two sons, Oscar of North Tonawanda and Raymond of Lockport, and 18 grandchildren. Rites will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Wattengel Funeral Home, 307 Oliver street. The Rev. Theophil Twente will officiate. Burial will be in Salem.

Mrs. Amelia Zastro(sic),63 years old, wife of August Zastro of the Ward road at St. Johnsburg, died at home on Saturday night after a lingering illness. Mrs. Zastro was born in Germany and lived in the town of Wheatfield for thirty-one years. Besides her husband, four daughters, Mrs. Emma Holland, Mrs. Helen Ellman, Mrs. Freida Quester, and Miss Lottie Zastro, all of Wheatfield, and four sons, Frank Zastro of Niagara Falls, Herbert and Otto Zastro of North Tonawanda and August Zastro of St. Johnsburg, survive.
The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon from the family home at 1:30 and a half hour later from the St. John's church at St. Johnsburg. Burial will be made in the St. Johnsburg cemetery

Mrs. Anna Schultz
The funeral of Mrs. Anna Schultz, fifty-two years old, who died at her home at Bergholtz. Monday, will be held at the late residence at 1 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. Services will be held at the Lutheran church in Bergholtz an hour later. Rev. Stark officiating. Mrs. Schultz was the sister of Mrs. Leonard Weideman, Mrs. Charles Smith, Philip, Fred, Julius and Albert Gombert of North Tonawanda. She is survived by three sons and two daughters, all of Bergholtz.
