TONAWANDA - A 59-
year-old l o c a l woman
drowned Friday (Dec. 9,
1966) when she apparently
fell in the bathtub at
her home.
Mrs. Alberta Peters Balling,
of 92 Walter Ave., was pronounced
dead on arrival at
DeGraff Memorial Hospital.
Police said the woman was
drawing water into the tub
when she reportedly slipped
and fell. Robert M. Barone,
an Erie County medical examiner,
has issued a certificate
of accidental death.
A brother-in-law of Mrs.
Balling found her body, which
was clad in nightclothes.
A native of this city, she
was the widow of Fred S.
Balling.who.died in 1965. She
was a member of Grace
Lutheran Church in North
Tonawanda.
Survivors include a son,
David L. Balling; a sister,
Mrs. Walter (Thelma). Balling;
a brother, Chester A.
Peters, and two grandchildren,
all of this city.
Funeral services will be
conducted at 11 a.m. Monday
at the Roth Funeral Home
by Rev. Howard E. Funk.
Burial will be in Mount Olivet
Cemetery.

17. Many interesting games
were played, and prises were
awarded to Miss Elsie Leber, Mrs.
Chester Peters, Miss Lucinda
Leber, Miss Vera Strassburg, Mrs.
Joe Mayer, Miss Amelia Strassburg
and Miss Lydia Kline, all ol
whom presented them to Miss
Peters. The house was artistically
docorated in pink and yellow,
and luncheon was served at
a table centered with a bouquet of
cosmos and chrysanthemums, covers
being laid for sixteen. The
bride elect's place was marked
aith a large wedding cake, and
-osa favors and cards marked the
places of the guests. Miss Peters
was the recipient of many beautiful
presents.
