    Walter J. Banazwski, 67, of
    Medina died suddenly Thursday
    afternoon in the Medina
    Memorial Hospital following a
    short illness.
    For the past 12 years he was a
    school custodian at the Towne
    School and prior to this he
    worked for the New York
    Central railroad for 22 years.
    Mr. Banazwski was an ardent
    baseball player and was admitted
    to the Western New
    York Softball Hall of Fame, in
    1978. He was a member of St.
    Mary's Church.
    He is survived by his wife,
    Ruth Groff Banazwski; three
    sons, Jan (Joyce) of Medina;
    Terry (Marilyn) of Buffalo and
    Daryl (Paula) of Medina; six
    grandchildren, and two greatgrandchildren.
    Also, one brother, Anthony
    Banazuski of Ocala, Fla. and
    one sister, Mrs. Marion Gunnell
    of Clearview, Fla., and several
    nieces and nephews.
    Funeral services will be held
    Monday at 10 a.m. from the
    Gulinski Funeral Home, 420
    Eagle St., with a mass of
    Christian burial at nr:r 30 a.m. ai
    St. Mary's Church. Burial will
    be in Bates Road Cemetery.
    Family and friends will be
    received starting tonight 7-9,
    Saturday and sunday, 2-5, 7-9.

    Walter married GROFF, Ruth M on 5 Oct 1935 in Medina, Orleans County, NY. Ruth (daughter of GROFF, Albert T C and Martha) was born on 20 Feb 1915 in New York; died on 28 May 2001 in Medina, Orleans County, NY. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

    The marriage of Miss Bum Mildred
    Groff, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert
    T. C.Groff. of 598 Maher street,
    to Walter Banazwski, son of Mrs.
    Phillip Banazwski, of 106 Pleasant
    street, was solemnized at the Trinity
    Evangelistical Lutheran parsonage
    Saturday evening, October 5 at 9:30
    o'clock, the Rev. Conrad Poeckler officiating.
    The double ring ceremony
    was used.
    The bride was attired in brown
    transparent velvet and wore a corsage
    of tallisman roses.
    She was attended by her sister,
    Helen M. Groff, who wore brown
    crepe and a corsage of roses.
    The groom was attended by his
    brother, Anthony Banaiwski
    After a short wedding trip Mr. and
    Mrs. Walter Banazwski will be at
    home at 398 Maher street.
