Edward Dlugosz.

Townsend officiated at the
double ring ceremony uniting
in marriage the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Jarvis M. McGarvey,
3459 Sandy Beach
Road, Grand Island, and the
6on of Mrs. Sophie Dlugosz,
80 Wilson St., Buffalo, and
the late^Walter S. Dlugosz.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a gown
of organza over taffeta which
featured an empire bodice
and bishop sleeves of Chantil
ly lace. Appliques of lace
accented the A-line skirt and
the Sabrina neckline was
trimmed with seed pearls.
The lace-centered Watteau
back terminated in a chapel
length train and she carried
white roses surrounding a
a white orchid.

MISS LORETTA EMER.
SON, Town of Tonawanda,
was maid of honor. She wore
a gown with Cluny lace bodice
and bishop sleeves, a Victorian
collar and candy colored
skirt of taffeta and chiffon
overlay and carried a bouquet
of roses.
Miss Nancy Hughes, Buffalo,
the bridesmaids, wore a
similarly styled gown with
pink skirt.
Walter J. D l u g o s z,
Lockport, brother of t h e
bridegroom, was best man.
Ushers were Michael R. John,
Grand Island, and James H.
McGarvey, brother of the
bride.
A reception was held at the
Knights of Columbus Hall,
Grand Island. The couple is
honeymooning in Canada, and
will reside in Niagara Falls.

NIAGARA FALLS — Jarvis M. McGarvey, 91, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2012, at St. Joseph of the Pines Health Center.

Jarvis is survived by his wife of 68 years, Marjorie M. McGarvey; daughter, Bonnie Berry and her husband, Fred Berry of Pinehurst; son, James McGarvey of Youngstown, NY; grandsons, Tom Berry of Greenville and Shaun and Michael McGarvey of Youngstown, NY; great-grand- daughter, Morgan McGarvey and great-grandson, Phillip McGarvey.

They lived for more than 30 years on Grand Island where Jarvis worked at the Carborundum Abrasive Company for more than 40 years. They retired and lived in Punta Gorda, FL, for more than 17 years. In 2004, Marjorie and Jarvis moved to Pinehurst.

Jarvis will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Clarence H. Miller, 66, of
3075 Ewings Road, Newfane,
formerly of this c i t y died
Tuesday (March 1, 1968) in
the Newfane Community Hospital
after a long illness.
Mr. Miller was born in Ransomville.
He was an operator
at Carborundum Co. prior to
his retirement in 1965.
He is survived by his wife,
Mrs. Countess Richmond Miller;
a daughter, Mrs. Jarvis
(Marjorie) McGarvey, Grand
Island; a s i s t e r , Mrs. Roy
(Viola) Workman, Pont Charlotte,
Fla.; a brother, Franklin
Milter Ransomville, and
two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be
held at noon Friday at the
Gridley Funeral Home with
Rev. Canon Richard B. Townsend,
rector of St. Peter's Episcopal
Church, officiating. Bur-
ial will be in Memorial Park
Cemetery-
Friends may call at the funeral
home from 7-9 p.m. today
and 24 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.
Thursday.
