Obituary for Thomas F Gipp
Thomas F. Gipp, age 96, passed away on December 25, 2023.
He was born September 24, 1927, in Lewiston NY, son of the late Thomas and Ida (nee Rutherford) Gipp.
Tom was an avid sports fan who never missed a Yankees or Bills game, he loved nature and cultivated Japanese red maples, befriended deer and was a bird watcher. Tom served in the Merchant Marines and recently attended the Honor Flight to Washington DC.
In addition to his parents Tom is predeceased by his wife Blanche who passed away in 2010 his brother Arthur Gipp and grandson Brian. Tom is survived by his children Robin (Brian) Moore, Thomas (Kimberly) Gipp, and Kelly (John) Siegel. Grandchildren; Elizabeth (Tim), Michelle (Curtis), Daniel (Jessica). Great-grandchildren; Judson, Collin, and Emily. His beloved cat Clara.
Visitation will be Friday December 29th, 2023, from 5 to 8 PM at the Wattengel Funeral Home, 533 Meadow Drive, North Tonawanda where Funeral Services will be held Saturday December 30th, 2023, at 10 AM. Interment will follow in Elmlawn Memorial Park, Town of Tonawanda.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Buffalo-Niagara Honor Flight.
