Obituary

Peter K. Kuczkowski, age 87, of Tonawanda, passed away on December 5, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. 
Peter was born on April 14, 1935, in Tonawanda, NY to Peter E. and Helen Kuczkowski. He was a 1952 graduate of Tonawanda High School. Peter enlisted in the U. S. Navy in 1957 and proudly served in the United States Navy Seabees Construction Battalion. He retired from the Navy in 1995, after 20 years of service. Peter worked as a welder fabricator and eventually took over the family business, Octo Manufacturing, in Tonawanda. He has had a hand in many local construction projects over the years. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers Union. Peter loved his family very much and had a soft spot for his grandchildren. He enjoyed every moment he spent with them. 
Loving husband of 48 years to the late Loretta Kuczkowski. Loving father to Peter Kuczkowski, and Kathy (Peter) Maury. Cherished grandfather of Jacob and Blake Maury. Brother of David, Thomas, Paul, and the late Marcia Kuczkowski. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. 
Family and friends are invited to Fretthold and Hamp Funeral Home, located at 37 Adam Street, in Tonawanda, on Friday December 10, from 4:00pm - 7:00PM. A committal service will be held at Mount Olivet Cemetery, in Tonawanda, on Monday December 12, beginning at 10AM.

KUCZKOWSKI - Loretta A. (nee Toczynski) Of Town of Tonawanda, July 1, 2012, beloved wife of 48 years to Peter K. Kuczkowski; dearest mother of Peter M. (Cathy Fisher and her children Jennifer and Jacob Fisher) Kuczkowski and Kathy (Peter) Maury; proud grandmother of Jacob and Blake Maury; survived by nieces and nephews. Family present Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the SABER FUNERAL HOME, 549 Oliver St., N. Tonawanda. (692-0271). Family and friends are asked to gather at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church (Oliver St.) for a Mass of Christian Burial Friday at 11 AM. Loretta was a retired employee of the Buffalo Board of Education where she was a Food Service Supervisor.
