    Miss Geraldine Barclay, daughter of Mrs. John Barclay
    of Munson Ave., will marry Russell McFarland, son of Mr.
    and Mrs. William McFarland of Rivershore Dr., this evening
    (July 9, 1957) at 7:30 o'clock at the First Methodist
    Church in Buffalo Ave. The Rev. Shirley Travis will perform
    the single-ring ceremony, while Mrs. Earl McCormick
    plays the wedding music.
    Given in marriage by her brother, John D. Barclay,
    Miss Barclay will wear for her wedding a powder blue chiffon
    gown, with deeper tones of blue as accents. The ballerina-
    length dress with oval neckline and short sleeves, will
    be worn with a circular face veil
    falling from a crown of seed
    pearls. Miss Barclay will carry
    a cascade bouquet of white
    orchids.
    Mrs. Alton Thorpe, as Matron

    of honor, will be Miss Barclay's
    only attendant. She wilj wear
    pale pink voile with accents of
    matching pink lace and a circlet
    of pink and white flowers, while
    she carries a colonial bouquet.
    Ernest McFarland will be best
    man for his brother, and Alton
    Thorpe and James Morrison will
    be ushers.
    . Mrs. John Barclay, mother of
    the bride, will wear a pale pink
    sheer dress with white accessories
    at the wedding reception
    for the immediate families at
    her home. The mother of the
    bridegroom plans on wearing
    soft blue lace with white accessories.
    After a wedding trip to Lake
    St. Clair, Mich., the newlywcds
    will make their home at 9129
    Rivershore Dr.

    John W. Barclay, 8809 Munson
    avenue, well known businessman of
    the LaSalle section, died early this
    morning at Meyer Memorial hospital,
    Buffalo, of a heart attack.
    Mr. Barclay was born in Seaforth,
    Ont., December 29, 1879, a son of
    the late John Alexander Barclay
    and Priscilla O'Neal Barclay. He
    came to Niagara Falls in his youth
    and for many years was associated
    with the late John Rae in the
    sporting goods and bicycle business
    In Falls street.
    In 1929 Mr. Barclay opened Barclay's
    Service Station, at 520 Cayuga
    drive, which he conducted until, a
    few months ago, when he was forced
    to retire because of failing health.
    The business has since been operated
    by a son, John D. Barclay.
    Mr. Barclay was an active member
    of the LaSalle Business and
    Professional Men's club and was
    always keenly interested In LaSalle
    section affairs.
    He is survived by his wife. Mrs.
    Helen Dick Barclay, at home; one
    daughter, Lieutenant Geraldine L.
    Barclay, stationed at the U. S.
    Army-Navy hospital, Hot Springs.
    Arkansas; one son, John D; Barclay,
    of this city; two brothers,
    Charles, of Monterey Park, Calif.,
    and James, of New York City; four
    sisters, Mrs. Owen Cash, of Louisville,
    Kentucky, and Miss Margaret
    Barclay, Mrs. Leo Klingler and
    Mrs. Joseph McMurray, all of this
    city.
    The funeral plans have not been
    completed.

    Last week Mrs, Elmer C. Dick of
    Welland avenue. Niagara Falls. Ontar-
    io. delightfully entertained a party
    of thirty young people In honor of
    Miss Helen Dick of LaSalle. N. Y
    whose marriage to Mr. John Barclay
    of Vermont will take place Wednesday
    The feature of the occasion was a hosiery
    shower and the bride elect was the
    recipient of many beautiful gifts. The
    home was beautifully decorated with
    belts and ferns. The bride elect's cor-
    ner being draper with a large Ameri-
    can and Canadian flag over which hung
    a large bell.
    A dainty luncheon was served, the
    table decorations being snow balls And
    ferns. In parting the guests wished
    miss Dick much joy and happiness.
