    NIAGARA FALLS — It is with deep sadness that the children of Jane Swearengen announce her passing on Tuesday, July 3, 2012. She was surrounded by her loving family and was under the care of Niagara Hospice.

    Jane was born on June 13, 1940 in Geneseo, NY, the daughter of the late Marvin and Harriet Wynn. She married the love of her life, Richard Swearengen, on October 18, 1958. Jane enjoyed working outdoors in her garden and spending time with her family and friends.

    She is survived by her children, Linda (John) DuFour, Randall Swearengen, Nancy Swearengen and Peggy (Richard) Winstanley; eight grandchildren, Stacey (Fred) Rollain, Nicholas (Linnea) DuFour Michael and Carolyn Swearengen, Rachel, Bryce, Sarah and Richard Winstanley; four great-granddaughters, Lydia Barreto, Kailyn and Alina Rollain and Aubrey DuFour; a brother, Richard (Flo) Wynn of Utica, NY; and many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. Jane was predeceased by her loving husband, Richard Swearengen, in August of 1998.

    Services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in her memory to Niagara Hospice, Inc., 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094. Arrangements by LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC.

    held on Tuesday from Hope
    Lutheran Church at 2 p.m.
    with the Rev. Karl A. Brenner
    officiating. Burial will be in
    Memorial Park Cemetery.
    Friends may call at the
    Grimes Funeral Home today
    and Monday from 2 to 9 p.m.
