    The marriage of Miss Edna Simmons,
    of Eighteenth street, daughter
    of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Simmons, of
    the Ridge road, to Rensselaer Ward,
    also of Eighteenth street, son of Mr.
    and Mrs. William Ward, of Ransomville,
    was solemnized last Saturday
    afternoon at the North Ridge Lutheran
    parsonage, the Rev. Carl Oldach
    officiating.
    The bride was attractively attired in
    shell pink lace over taffeta. Her
    gown was made on princess lines,
    with a fitted Jacket and large lapels.
    She wore a matching turban with a
    shoulder length veil and carried an
    arm bouquet of white roses, lilies-ofthe-
    valley and gypsophela. Her only
    attendant, Miss Margaret Goldpenny,
    of North Ridge, wore a close-fitting
    dress of sea green net over satin and
    a matching turban and carried a bouquet
    of pink roses and gypsophela.
    The groom was attended by William
    H. Jones, of Spruce avenue, this
    city. Both wore white gabardine
    suits. Following the ceremony dinner
    was served at the Red Coach Inn.
    Later Mr. and Mrs. Ward left on
    a motor trip for Washington, D. C,
    Atlantic City and New York, the bride
    wearing a white sharkskin suit with
    sky blue accessories. Upon their return
    they will be at home at 2225
    Willow avenue.
    Among the pre-nuptlal affairs were
    a variety shower by Mrs. Edward
    Barkow, a linen shower by Mrs. Marlon
    Hawley and a specialty shower
    by the Misses Loretta and Margaret
    Goldpenny.

    Simmons, 81, of Ridge Rd., Town
    of Cambria, died Friday (April 6,
    1956) at- Niagara Falls Memorial
    Hospital after a long illness.
    Born Oct. 25„ 1874 in the Town
    of Lewiston, Mr. Simmons was a
    member of St. Peter's Lutheran
    Church, North Ridge. He moved
    here as a young man and operated
    his farm for more than half a
    century.
    He is survived by his wife,
    Minnie Simmons; two daughters,
    Mrs. 'Edward Barkow and Mrs.
    Rennselaer N. Ward, both of Niagara
    Falls, a son, Herbert Simmons,
    North Tonawanda; five grandchildren
    and three great-grandchildren
    survive.
    Private services will be conducted
    at 2 p.m. Sunday at the home by
    the Rev. Carl Oldach, pastor of St,
    Peter's Lutheran Church, conducting.
    Friends may attend church
    services at 2:30 p.m., at St. Peter's
    Church.
    Interment will be in North Ridge
    Cemetery.

    Minnie Wiepert Simmons, 88, died today (March 16, 1963) at her home, 3313 Ridge Road, Town of Cambria, after a lengthy illness. Born in Youngstown March 8. 1875, Mrs. Simmons was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, North Ridge, and active in all branches of church work. Surviving are a son, Herbert Simmons, North Tonawanda; two daughters, Mrs Edward Barkow and Mrs. Edna Ward of Niagara Falls; a sister Mrs Emma Krohn, Ransomville; five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the family home and at 2:30 p.m. at St. Peter's Church by Rev. Carl Oldach, Burial will be in North Ridge Cemetery.

    RANSOMVILLE, Fab. 10. - Mr.
    and Mrs. Louis Simmons, South
    Ridge road, celebrated their golden
    wedding anniversary, Sunday, at
    the Park hotel, Lockport. The Immediate
    families were present
    A dinner was served from a table
    centered with a large wedding cake
    decorated with yellow roses and
    told leaves. Mrs. Simmons wore
    a black print dress with matching
    accessories and a corsage of yellow
    tea roses.
    Mr. and Mrs. Simmons were married
    February 8, 1899, at the St.
    Peter's Lutheran church, North
    Ridge. They have one son, Herbert
    Simmons, North Tonawanda: two
    daughters, Mrs. Edward Barkow,
    Mrs. .Rensselaer Ward, Niagara
    Falls, and five grandchildren, Phyllis
    and Roger Simmons, Mrs. James
    Flanagan and Wayne and Larry
    Ward.
    In the evening they were enter-
    tained at their home at a party.
    At midnight a delicious buffet
    lunch was served. They received
    many gifts and cards of congratulations.

    SANBORN, Jan. 20.-Fred Wlepert,
    88 years old, died at the home of his
    daughter, Mrs. Louis Simmons, on the
    South Ridge road. Town of Cambria,
    this morning. He is survived by two
    sons, John Wlepert, also of the South
    R'dge road, and Charles Wiepert, of
    Ransomville; three daughters, Mrs.
    Simmons and Mrs. William Krohn
    and Mrs. Ernest Krohn, both of Ransomvllle,
    and one brother, Charles
    Wiepert, in Germany. Nineteen grand-
    children and 19 great-grandchildren
    also survive. He was the husband of
    the late Wilhelmina Wiepert.
    Sixty-six years ago Mr. Wiepert
    came to this country from Germany
    and settled near Ransomville in the
    Town of Porter. Later he moved to
    the Ridge road. Town of Ransomville.
    He had been ill for about a year and
    during that time had lived with his
    daughter. He was a member of St.
    Peter's church, North Ridge road.
    The funeral will be held from the
    home of his daughter at 2 p. m. Saturday,
    with services at St. Peter's church
    at 2:30 p. m., the Rev. C. Oldah officiating.
