    Hospital.
    She was a lifelong resident of
    this city and a member of
    Payne Avenue Christian
    Church. Her husband, James.
    C. Barnes, predeceased her.
    She is survived by three sons,
    Robert L. Barnes, Kenneth
    Barnes and William J. Barnes,
    all of the Tonawandas; 'two
    brothers, Edwin Wankowsky of
    Buffalo and William
    Wankowsky of Osteen, Fla.,
    and a sister, Mrs. Herbert
    Ensminger of Tonawanda; five
    grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held
    Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the
    Wattengel Funeral Home, with
    the Rev. Lyle V. Newman
    officiating. Burial will be in
    Sweeney Cemetery.
    Friends may call at the
    funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7
    to 9 p.m. today.

    He is survived by his wife Ruth (nee Grawe) Pieper; five daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Doris) Barnes, Mrs. Clifford (Betty) Polhman, Mrs. Frank (Norma) Fill, Mrs. Franklin (Ruby) Brosius and Mrs. Marilyn Brosius; two sons Robert R. and James J. Pieper; 25 grandchildren; two sisters Mrs. Louise Lee of North Tonawanda and Mrs. Marie Heidenfeldt.
    The family will receive friends at the Fretthold Funeral Home, Inc., 1241 Oliver St., at Ward Rd., North Tonawanda for 7 to 9 p.m. this evening and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m., the Rev. A.W. Moldenhauer officiating. Interment Friedens Cemetery.

Mrs. Pieper was a lifelong resident of North Tonawanda, a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church and the North Tonawanda Senior Citizens. She was the wife of the late Arthur A. Pieper who died in 1973.
    She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Clifford (Betty Jane) Pohlman, Mrs. Norma Fill and Mrs. Franklin (Ruby) Brosius; a son James J. (Diane) Pieper, all of North Tonawanda; twenty-five grandchildren, forty-four great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Doris Barnes, Marylin Kerlin and Robert Pieper.
    Friends may call at the Feretthold Funeral Home, Inc., 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd., North Tonawanda, this evening from 7-9 and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. from St. Matthew Lutheran Church; the Rev. A.W. Moldenhauer officiating. Interment in Friedens Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined; memorials may be made to St. Matthew Lutheran Church.
