    Judith Ann Barnum entered into rest on Friday, November 14, 2014 in Buffalo, NY, surrounded by her family.

    Daughter of the late Frederic Crossman Barnum and Shirley Woodside Barnum. Sister of Sue (Walter) Holmes of Ransomville and Molly (Greg) Cigal of Parkersburg, WV. She is survived by her nephew, Kurt (Gina) Holmes and their children, Alexandria and Frederick and niece, Kelli (Dan) Putney and their children, Katie and Jack.

    Judith graduated from Paul Smith's College in 1969 with an Associate degree in Liberal Arts. She attended the State University College at Brockport and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education (K-6) in 1971. She also did 30 hours of post graduate work at Brockport. She taught at Pratt Elementary School in Barker for 27 years and retired in August 1999.

    Judy was a member of the Eastern Niagara County Retired Teachers Association and a lifetime member of the New York State Retired Teachers. Judy was an active member of the Somerset Historical Society and a lifetime member of the Wilson Historical Society.

    Judy enjoyed bowling, counted cross stitch, knitting and writing letters to her friends and relatives. She also loved going out for lunch with her teacher friends. She took many trips together with her mother Shirley. They traveled to Colonial Williamsburg, the Canadian Rockies, Alaska, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, England, Ireland and Scotland. They also took many trips to Parkersburg, WV to visit her sister Molly and her husband Greg.

    Friends may call at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1708 Pallister Ave., Barker, NY 14012, on THURSDAY from 5-8PM, where funeral services will be held on FRIDAY at 10AM. Burial will be in Somerset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Barker Fire Company Ambulance Fund, 1660 Quaker Rd., Barker, NY 14012; or Faith United Methodist Church, 1449 Quaker Rd., Barker, NY 14012.

    Supervisor Frederick F. Barnum,
    73. Town of Wilson, died Friday In
    Memorial Hospital, Niagara Falls,
    of a brief Illness.
    A Democrat. Mr. Barnum
    achieved an upset in town politics
    last Fall by defeating Victor Berlin,
    veteran Republican member of
    the Board of Supervisors. He had
    been town highway superintendent
    12 years before becoming supervisor.
    Born in Niagara Falls, he went
    to Wilson 35 years ago to engage
    in farming. He was a member of
    the Niagara County Farm Bureau.
    the Orange and Odd Fellows and
    was trustee of the Exley Methodist
    Church.
    He Is survived by his wife, Mrs.
    Maude C. Barnum; a daughter,
    Mrs. Roberta Albright; two sons,
    Frederick C. and Whitney Barnum,
    and a brother, William Barnum.
    Services will be at 2:30 Sunday St

    A recent death at a Buffalo hospital
    was that of James Barnum. 70 yeara
    of age and a former resident of Wil-
    son where he had lived for 60 -years
    Besides a wife, a sister. Mrs. John
    Small of Lockport and two sons,
    Frederick Barnum of Wilson and
    William Barnum of Niagara Falls
    survive him.

    Mrs. Alida Barnum, 69 years old,
    widow of the late James Barnum, well
    known throughout Niagara Falls and
    vicinity, died at 12:15 o'clock yesterday
    afternoon at the home of her
    son, William W. Barnum. of No. 1616
    South avenue. She succumbed to an attack
    of pleurisy, having been ill at
    her son's, home for the past two
    weeks.
    Furneal services will be held from
    the St. James M. E. Church, South
    avenue, Saturday at one o'clock, the
    Rev. William Omssted officiating, and
    from the Wilson M. E. church at 3
    o'clock, with the Rev. Parding officiating.
    Burial will take place in the Greenwood
    cemetery, Wilson. The body will
    remain at the Dykstra funeral Parlors,
    No. 1619 Main street, until 12:30
    o'clock Saturday, and will then be
    conveyed to the church. After the
    services at tho St. James church,
    there will be a sufficient number of
    automobiles available for those who
    wish to attend the services at the Wilson
    church.
    Coming to this city over 22 years
    ago from Wilson, Mrs. Barnum established
    a residence In tho homo of her
    son, William W. ln South avenue.
    Since her arrival here she has been
    active in church affairs and has made
    many friends throughout Niagara
    Falls And vicinity. Her kindly disposition
    and her responsive attitude toward
    the needs of her friends and her
    neighborly affection mndo her beloved
    by all who came ln contact .with her.
    Numerous floral tributes from friends
    In Niagara Falls and vicinity have
    been received at the Dykstra undertaking
    rooms, as expressive of the
    sentiment ot those who knew her.
    Besides two sons, William W., of
    this city and Frederick, of Wilson, she
    te survived by two brothers, Charles
    And William Wallace, of Sanborn and
    Ridge Road, respectively, and a slater,
    Mary Wallober, of Sanborn.
