Louis N. DiVita. 57 vears old. of
455 Thirteenth street, died in Mount
St. Mary s hospital yesterdav after-
noon after an illness nf a few days,
as told in the Gazette Owl edition
yesterday. He had been a patient'
at the hlspital since Thursday.
Mr. DiVita was a widely known
businessman and for the last four
years had conducted a restaurant at
Niagara and Fourth streets. Prior
to that he was associated with a
macaroni firm in the east side section.
A native of Italy, Mr DiVita has
resided in this country since 1890.
He had lived in Buffalo for 13 years
before coming to this city in 1904.
He was widely known in the Italian
colony in Niagara Falls.
He is survived by his wife, Min-
nie; three sons, Samuel, Joseph and
Louis, Jr. and a brother, Joseph, all
of this city.
Funeral servicces will be held from
the family home at 8:15 a.m. Mon-
day and at 8:45 from St. Joseph's
church, where Solemn Requiem
High Mass will be sung by the Rev.
George O'Neill, pastor of the church.
Interment will be in the family plot
St. Joseph's cemetery.

Mrs. Minnie DiVita, 74, of
437 13th St., was dead on
arrival at Memorial Hospital
Friday (Nov. 5, 1965) after an
apparent heart attack.
Mrs. DiVita was stricken at
the home of friends at 307
70th St. at about 5 p.m. She
was given artificial respiration
and oxygen by a fire
department inhalator squad
before being taken to the hospital
by ambulance.
She was a native of Buffalo
and moved to this city over
55 years ago. From 1933
until her retirement 10 years
ago, she operated DiVita's
Tavern at Fourth and Niagara
streets with her husband,
Louis N. DiVita, who died in
1939. v
Surviving are two sons,
Louis F. DiVita, of this city,
and Joseph A- DiVita, of Fair
Lawn, N.J.; a brother-in-law,
Joseph DiVita, of this city,
and 12 grandchildren. A third
son, Samuel, died five years
ago.
Funeral services will be
held at the Rhoney Funeral
Home Tuesday at 8:45 a.m.
and at Our Lady of Lebanon
Roman Catholic Church at
9:30 a.m. Burial will be in
St. Joseph's Cemetery. The
family will be present at the
funeral home from 2 to 5
p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m.
on Sunday and Monday.

Anthony Barone,' 69 years old, well
known mason contractor, died unexpectedly
shortly after 4 o'clock yesterday
afternoon at his home, 1353 Llnwcod
avenue, ft victim of heart disease.
Mr. Barone had been .in poor health
for some time past, suffering from athma,
but his condition had not been
considered serious.
Born in Italy, Mr..Barone came to
this country 38 years ago and settled
in Buffalo, where he continued to reside
for a few years, after which he
came to this city. He had been tn the
contracting business here since 18ir>.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lucia
Barone; two sons, Charles, Silver
Creek, and James and Vincent, both cf
this city; six daughters, Rose, Anna.
Josephine, Mary, Lucy and Florence, all
at home; a brother, Louis Barone, this
city, and a sister, Mrs. Mary Battaglia,
Buffalo.
The funeral will bo held from the
family home Monday morning at 8:30
o'clock. Following services at the
Church of the Sacred Heart at 9 o'clock
burial will be in Rlverdalc cemetery.

Anthony married Lucia about 1881 in Italy. Lucia was born in Mar 1865 in Italy; died on 15 Sep 1948 in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Mrs. Lucy Barone, 83, of 1553 Linwood
avenue, died today at her
home after a prolonged Illness. A
native of Italy, Mrs. Barone had
resided In Niagara Falls for the
last 35 years. She was the widow of
Anthony Barone, who died 20 years
ago.
° Surviving are two sons, James,
this Clty, and Vincent, Youngstown;
five daughters, Mrs. Anna Barber,
Youngstown; .Mrs. Josephine Dl-
Vlta, Mn. Mary Barone, Mrs. Lucy
Frachella and' Mrs. Florence Salacuse,
all of this city and two brothera
In Italy. Mrs. Barone Is also
survived by 27 grandchildren and
15 gTeat grandchildren.
