NEWFANE -
Richard L. Barrell of Newfane, husband of the late Joan Chenez Barrell, entered into rest on Monday, March 31, 2014 at Newfane Rehab and Health Care Facility. Richard was born in Lockport, NY on August 5, 1932. Son of the late Rollin and Dorothy Weaver Barrell. Richard worked at Harrison Radiator for 37 years as a tooling engineering, he retired in 1991. He enjoyed his Lionel Trains and puttering.
Father of Kevin (Randi) Barrell of Hilton, NY and David Barrell of Galeton, Colorado. Grandfather of Erin (Jeremy) Bishop and Megan Barrell. Brother-in-law of Jean C. Sullivan of Newfane, NY, Ray (Betty Mae) Chenez of Florida and Madeline Chenez of Barker, NY. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2670 Main St., Newfane, NY 14108 on FRIDAY from 4-7 PM, where funeral services will be held on SATURDAY at 1 PM. Burial will be held in Corwin Cemetery following the funeral service. The family is at peace knowing he has taken his journey to be with his beloved wife. Buffalo, Thursday (May 16,
1968). She is survived by her
beloved husband, Rollin; mother
of Richard Barrell of Newfane;
daughter of Mrs. Lena
Weaver of Newfane; sister of
Mrs. J. Harold (Donna) Moyer
of Buffalo and Howard Weaver
of Lockport; also survived by
two grandchildren. Friends may

Roger M. Barrell, 85, or 5610
Chestnut St., Newfane, a lifelong
farmer in the Town of Newfane,
died this morning (April 20,
1966) after a long illness.
Born May 18, 1880, in Newfane,
he was the son of Theodore
and Mary Jane Phillips
Barrell. For many years, he
owned and operated a farm at
5610 Chestnut St., and for 14
years lived at 2845 S. Main St.,
in the village.
He was the husband of the
late Mabel Smith Barrell.
Surviving are one son, Rollin
R. Barrell of Newfane; one sister,
Mrs. Maude Woodcock of
Wilson, a brother, Theodore
Barrell of Newfane; one grandson,
Richard L. Barrell, also
two great - grandchildren and
several nieces and nephews.
Beginning this evening,
friends may call at the Kenneth
H. Sherrie Funeral Home, 6139
East Ave., Newfane, where funeral
services will be held at 2
p.m. Friday. The family will be
present from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8
p.m.
Burial will be in Corwin Cemetery,
Newfane.

EAST WILSON-Funeral services
for Mrs. Mary Jane Barrell. 89.
were held Sunday afternoon at 3:30
o'clock In the home of her daughter.
Mrs. Joseph Winkley of Newfane.
The Rev. James Wilson, officiated.
Interment took place in
the Corwin cemetery. Six grandsons
acted as bearers: Harry Mason, Gurney
Woodcock. Rollin Barrell. Harold
Mason, Willard Woodcock and
Donald Barrell.
Mrs. Barrell was bom in England
and came to United States when a
small child with her parents, the
late Robert and Jane Mount who
took up their residence near Burt.
Her husband. Theodore M. Barrell.
Sr. passed away 25 years ago this
month.
She is survived by two daughters,
Mra Maud Woodcock of East Wilson.
Mrs. Eva Winkley of Newfane
and two sons. Roger Barrell of the
Coomer .and Chestnut roads and
Theodore L Barrell of Newfane.
Ten grandchildren and 13 great
grand-children also survive.
