    LEWISTON — John P. "Jack" Tighe, 80 years old, passed peacefully while surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, July 28, 2012, at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence. He was born on March 6, 1932 in Duryea, PA, the son of the late William and Blanche (Doyle) Tighe. He served in the United States Navy from September 24, 1951, until his honorable discharge on June 5, 1953, at which time he moved to Niagara Falls. Mr. Tighe worked as an engineer for Niagara Junction from 1953 until his retirement in 1988.

    Mr. Tighe is survived by his daughters, Kathleen (Curtis) DuBois of Niagara Falls and Laurie (Terry) Jacklin of Lewiston, and his son, David (Lisa) Tighe of Niagara Falls. He is survived by his former wife, Barbara (Matthew) Janik of Niagara Falls, as well as his grandchildren who gave him much joy; Daniel (fiancee' Melissa), Ryan, Patrick and David Tighe, Julie (Perry) Twyford, William and Paul DuBois, and Louis and Allison Jacklin, and his great-grandson, Jack Twyford. He is also survived by his brother, James (Betty Jane) Tighe of Hamburg, NY; his sisters, Betty Mazur of West Wyoming, PA, and Marion (Emil) Posluszny of Pittston, PA; his sister-in-law, Anne Tighe of Lewiston and his loving companion, Darlene Snyder; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, William and Vincent Tighe and his sister, Janet Williams.

    Friends may call on Monday from 3 until 7 PM at the LABUDA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 356 Portage Road. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 9:30 AM at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 259 Fourth Street. PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Contributions may be made to Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence, 5285 Lewiston Road, Lewiston, NY 14092, in Jack's memory. Interment in Oakland Rural Cemetery, Youngstown, NY, with military honors.

    BARBARA JANIKAUGUST 26, 1937 - MAY 20, 2020​Barbara (Zankowski) Janik, 82 years old, passed away on May 20, 2020 at Schoellkopf Health Care Center.  She was born in Niagara Falls on August 26, 1937, the daughter of the late Walter and Leona (Zabkowski) Zankowski.​​Barbara was the proud matriarch of 56 family members.  She met the love of her life, Matthew, while working at Shearson Lehman Brothers.  They had 30 wonderful years together.  Barbara was predeceased by her two loving husbands, John "Jack" Tighe and Matthew S. Janik.​Barbara is survived by her children; Kathy (Curt) DuBois, Laurie (Terry) Jacklin, David (Lisa) Tighe,Ed (Kathy) Janik, Peter (Maria) Janik,Cheryl (Paul) Bombalicky, MaryJo (Tom) Tartaglia and Kevin (Ann) Janik; her grandchildren,Julie (Perry) Twyford, Bill (Whitney) DuBois,Paul DuBois, Louis (Julie) Jacklin, Allison Jacklin, Daniel (Melissa) Tighe, Ryan (Lauren Billotti) Tighe, Patrick (Julie Kratz) Tighe, David (Cori) Tighe,Laura (Amanda) Raimondi, Matthew Janik,Christian (Tish) Janik, Elise Tartaglia andNicole (Eric) Zerrahn; great-grandchildren, Jack, Hazel, Russell, Charles, Arthur, Addison, Daniel, Vienna, Trent, Rocco, Rosalie, Quinn and Xan.  Barbara is also survived by her sister, Carol (Michael) Orsi and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was predeceased by her son Tom Janik and her brother, Robert Zankowski.​Private funeral services were held for the family with interment in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery.  Those wishing to make a donation in Barbara's memory are asked to consider St. John De LaSalle Community Care, 8477 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14303​ARRANGEMENTS ENTRUSTED TO THE LABUDA FUNERAL HOME, INC.

    Eighteenth street, died at his home
    late yesterday after an illness of
    three years. He was a native of

    Poland, has resided here 35 years
    and was employed by the R. and H.
    Chemical company and the duPont
    company for 30 years.
    He is survived by his wife, Mrs.
    Anna Zauczkowski; five sons, Andrew,
    Joseph, Walter and Stanley
    Zauczkowski, all of this city, and
    John Zauczkowski, of the U. S.
    Army and five daughters, Mrs. So-
    phie Universal, Mrs. Stella Kasz-
    toyniak, Mrs. Genevieve Watroba,
    Mrs. Helen Stypa and Mrs. Rose
    Lescher, all of this city. He is also
    survived by 18 grandchildren and
    by three sisters in Poland.
    He was a member of St. Ludwig's
    society, No. 347 Z.N.P.
    The funeral will be held from his
    later home at 9:30 a.m., Friday,
    with services at Holy Trinity church
    at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Gate
    of Heaven cemetery.

    at the Rest-Well Nursing
    Homo, 8022 Buffalo Ave.,
    where she had been a patient
    since Monday.
    She was born in Poland
    and lived in this city for
    the last 55 years. She lived
    with her daughter, Mrs.
    Helen Stypa, 717 87th St.,
    before she .was admitted to
    the nursing home.
    Mrs. Zauczkowski was a
    member of Holy Trinity
    Church.
    Besides Mrs. Stypa, she
    Is survived by four other
    daughters, Mrs. S t a n l ey
    (Genevieve) Watroba, Mrs.
    Anthony (Rose) L a s h e r,
    Mrs. Sophie Universal and
