    For the wedding of Mni Pearl ML Thilkey to Albert Barron

    which was solemnized at 4 o'clock Saturday, the altar of First
    Presbyterian Church was decorated with white gladioli, chrysanthemums
    and gypsophila before a background of palms, ferns
    and candelabra.
    The bride is the daughter of Mr
    and Mrs. Frank H Thilkey of Crapsey
    Road, her husband the son of
    Mr. and Mrs. Thomas G. barron
    of 226 Niagara Sst. Dr. Stephen E.
    Palmer performed the afternoon
    nuptials.
    Given in marriage by her father,

    Miss Thilkey chose a gown of white
    nylon marquisette fashioned with an
    Illusion neckline outlined with a soft
    of f-tne-shoulder drape caught in
    several places with orange blossoms.
    The bodice was fitted and
    its long sleeves culminated in a
    point over each hand, the full tiered
    skirt ending in a short tram.
    LACE-TRIMMED VEIL
    Her fingertip veil was caught to
    a headdress of lllies-of-the-valley
    and was edged with a Wide band
    of lace. She wore a double strand
    of pearls about her throat, and
    carried a semi-cascade bouquet of
    white roses, carnations and sweet
    Miss Audrey L. Thilkey, the
    bride's sister, was maid of honor In
    a pink orchid nylon marquisette
    gown made with cap sleeves. She
    wore matching gauntlets and car-
    ried a semi-cascade bouquet of pink
    carnations and sweet peas.

    Werth. Allan Seekins. Russell Thilkey
    and Thomas Jolle were ushers.
    Mrs. Patrick J. Madrlska, organist,
    played "At Dawning," 1 Love
    You Truly,- "O, Promise Ms" and
    "Because."
    Mrs. Thilkey, the bride's mother,
    selected a navy blue floral print
    with black accessories. Both had
    corsages of mixed flowers.
    200 AT RECEPTION
    A reception for 900 guests was
    held at the Park Hotel after t hs
    ceremony. For a s h o r t Eastern
    trip, the bride, changed into a pale
    blue bemberg print and wore a cor
    sage of red roses. Upon their re
    turn, Mr. end Mrs. Barron will
    make their home at 140 Washburn
    St.
    Mrs. Barron is a graduate of
    Lockport Senior High School. Her
    husband served as a boatswains
    mate 2-c In the U, S. Navy for
    three years during World War II.
    He saw service In the South Pacific
    for two years and was recipient
    of a Good Conduct Medal, a battle
    star for Okinawa and the Victory
    Medal
    Prenuptial events Included a va-
    riety shower given by the bride's

    sister; another variety shower by
    her aunt, Mrs. Willis Thilkey; a
    dinner at Lyons Tea Room by the

    business office staff of the Union
    Sun and Journal; and another dinner
    party by the Misses A. Ruth
    Olds and Lillian Groff.

    Thomas J. Barron, 79, of 294
    Ontario St., died this morning
    (May 12, 1961) at his home after
    being ill for three years.
    Mr. Barron was born July 4,
    1881, in Lincolnshire, England. He
    came to this country as a child
    and settled with his parents in
    Brant, in Erie County. After farming
    in that area for several years,
    Mr. Barron came to Lockport
    about 1930 and was employed by
    Harrison Radiator Division, General
    Motors Corp., until retiring
    about 15 years ago.
    Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ida
    Barron; five daughters, Mrs. Viola
    Wolfe, Kendall, Mrs. Majorie
    Oates, Prattsville, Ala., Mrs. Eva
    Langendorfer, Mrs. Violet Krohn
    and Mrs. Alive Schank, all of
    Lockportl five sons, Thomas of
    burt, John of Redwood, Calif.,
    Woodrow, Albert and Robert,, all
    of Lockport; a brother, Henry
    Barron of Franklinville; 21 grand-
    children, 17 great-grandchildren,
    several nieces and nephews.
    Friends will be received at the
    Macaluso Funeral Home, 301 East
    Ave., where funeral services will
    be held at 2:30 Monday afternoon
    with Dr. Stephen E. Palmer offi-
    ciating. Burial will be in Glen-
    wood Cemetery.

    Mrs. Ida P. Barron, 73,
    of 294 Ontario St. died this
    morning (Aug. 24, 1965) at
    Howell's Nursing Home.
    She was born Sept. 26, 1891
    in Pennsylvania, and had lived
    In Lockport for about 40 years.
    Her husband, the late Thomas J.
    Barron, died May 12, 1961.
    Mrs. Barron was a member of
    First Presbyterian Church. She
    worked three years at the Briody
    Nursing Home and had also
    been employed at the former
    Burke's Nursing Home.
    Surviving are five daughters,
    Mrs. Eva Langendorfer, Mrs.
    Violet Krohn and Mrs. Alice
    Schank, all of Lockport. Mrs.
    Viola Wolfe of Kendall, Mrs.
    Marjorie Oates of Prattsvllle,
    Ala.; four sons, Woodrow, Albert
    and Robert Barron, all of
    Lockport, and John Barron of
    Redwood, Calif. She also leaves
    25 grandchildren, 23 greatgrandchildren
    and several nieces
    and nephews.
    Friends may call at the Macaluso
    Funeral Home, 301 East
    Ave., where funeral services
    will be held at 11 a.m. Friday.
    Burial will be In Glenwood
    Cemetery.

    LOCKPORT - Hubert A. Werth, 86, of 230 Price St., a retired farmer who had raised nine children and had 26 grandchildren and 45 great grandchildren, died Monday afternoon (Aug. 3, 1959) at a local nursing home following a long illness. A widower twice, he had married three times. He retired from a Town of Lockport fruit farm in 1946 after working there since 1907 and worked part-time. at a local cold storage firm "until seven years ago. He was born Nov. 6, 1872, at Bergholtz, son of William and Heneritta Werth. He came to Lockport about 13 years ago. Lockport about 13 years ago. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Surviving are his third wife, Mrs. Carrie Collins Werth; six daughters and three sons, Mrs. Robert Mosher, Mrs. Frank Thilkey, Mrs. Roland Nerber, Mrs. Elton Behm, Mrs. Walter Anterline, Hubert F., Everett C. and Glenn R. Werth, all of Lockport, and Mrs. Leonard Kranz, Akron, N.Y. The Rev. Stephen Palmer, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, will conduct services at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
