    Fred J. Bruce. 73, of 54 Gerald
    PL, Spanish-American War veteran,
    died Saturday night at the
    Veterans Facility, Batavia, after
    an illness of about three weeks.
    Born in Buffalo, Mr. Bruce attended
    school here. A carpenter,
    he built several homes In the Kensington
    section before he retired
    ten years ago.
    Mr. Bruce was a member of
    Bucky O'Neill Post, Spanish American
    War Veterans, members of
    which will attend the funeral services
    at the home at 2.30 p. m.
    Wednesday. Burial will be in Forest
    Lawn.
    Survivors include a son William
    F. Bruce; two brothers, William A.
    and Christ C. Bruce; two sisters,
    Mrs. Philip J. Smith and Mary R,
    Bruce, and a grandson, Lieut. William
    F. Bruce, a Liberator bomber
    pilot now overseas.
