    LYNDONVILLE - Mr. and
    Mrs. Mark P. Barry bald open
    to celebrate their 50th wedding
    anniversary. More than 140
    of their friends called during the
    afternoon and evening, among

    them, twelve who had attended
    the wedding 50 years ago. Their
    home was beautifully decorated
    with flowers gifts from their
    friends.
    The dining room was attractive,
    With white topers, flowers and the
    large four-tiered wedding cake
    decorated in gold roses. The white
    table cloth used on the refreshtable
    was a gift from the groom
    to his bride-to-be on the
    Christmas before their marriage.
    Mr. and Mrs. Barry were married
    at Yates Center on June 10,
    1908, at the home of the bride's
    parents, the tote Mr. and Mrs. Edward
    F. Woolston. Mr. Barry is
    the son of the tote Mr. and Mrs.
    Newton J. Barry. The Rev. Thomas
    Melvin, who had Just assumed
    toe pastorate of the Presbyterian
    Church, performed the
    ceremony in the presence of 60
    guests. The Barrys have been
    members of this church for many
    years.
    The summer following their
    marriage they built the home
    where they reside having moved
    in on Dec 2. 1900.
    Mr. Barry was graduated from
    the University of Buffalo School
    of Pharmacy to 1907. Sometime
    later he purchased the Wright and
    Ross Drug Store in the village
    and operated it for 17 years. Later

    be founded the Barry Lime
    Sulphur Company which he operated
    for several years. Ultimately,
    he sold the business to the
    E.I. Du Pont Co. and continued
    on as resident manager of the
    plant until his retirement oa June
    1. 1950.
    Mr. and Mrs. Barry had two
    daughters: Mary, who passed
    away in Feb. 1932. and Winifred
    Byerty who resides in Lyndonville.
    There are also two grandchildren,
    Mary Byerty at home
    Edward Newton Byerty who
    resides in Coral Gables, Fla.,
    where he te a student at Miami
    University; and one great grand
    son.
    On Tuesday evening. June 10.

    Mr, and Mrs. Barry were entertained
    at dinner at Park Hotel in
    Lockport to complete the observ-
    ance of the anniversary.

    1. BARRY, Winifred Lucille was born on 10 Sep 1910 in New York; died on 6 Nov 1997 in Saint Petersburg, Pinellas County, FL.
    2. BARRY, Mary was born on 28 Feb 1913 in Lyndonville, Town of Yates, Orleans County, NY; died on 18 Feb 1932 in Buffalo, Erie County, NY.
