illness.
He was a lifelong resident
of the Tonawandas- and was a
retired carpenter
Survived by his wife Mildred
Bartel Hanes; a daughter. Mrs
B. W. Strickland of North Tonawanda:
a son. Robert Hanes of
Barrington, Ill.; three brothers.
Lester. Frank and Albert
Hanes; three sisters, Mrs.
Arnold Beasock. Mrs Lillian
Schweichler and Mrs Mable
Furio. all of North Tonawanda:
and three grandchildren.

Wattengel Funeral Home Inc..

will be conducted at 1:30 p.m.
Tuesday. The Rev. Lyle V.
Newman will officiate Burial
in Elmlawn Cemetery.

Charles A. Hanes. 82, died last
evening at his home,_ 548 Elm-
wood avenue. Nortn Tonawanda,
after an illness of a few weeks.
Born in St. Lawrence county, N.
Y.. he had resided here the past
57 years. He is survived by his
wife. Mary E.. nee Nagel; five
sons. Roy of Tonawanda, Lester,
Albert. Frank and Henry of Nortn
Tonawanda; three daughters, Mrs.
Daniel Furio, Mrs.
Schweichler and Mrs. Arnold
Beasock of North Tonawanda; 18
grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Rites will be held Friday
afternoon at 2 o'clock from the
Hamp Funeral Home, 37 Adam
street. The Rev. G. L. Burghard
will officiate Burial will be
Elmlawn.
