    Ascension church. Tonawanda, was
    the soene of a beautiful and impressive
    waddng Saturday morning,
    April 7, when William Bartholomew.
    son of Mrs. Anna Bartholomew, 309 :
    Ontario street, Lockport, took aa his
    bride, Miss Elisabeth Barbara Gane,
    daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter
    Dane, of Nash Road. The Rev.
    Daniel Malloy officiated at a nuptial
    high mass which was solemnized at
    9 o'clock.
    Easter lilies and bright candles
    decorated the altars and a profusion
    of spring flowers in baskets were
    further decorations of the church
    with palms being used as a background.
    The bride, who entered the
    church on the arm of her father,
    wore a gown of white satin with an
    over-jackets of lact, long sleeves,
    pufied at the shoulders, and buttoning
    down the front. The lace train
    started from the back waistline and
    veil was net, cap effect, and caught
    across the back with orange blossome.
    She carried a shower bouquet
    of spray orchids, gardenias and lilies
    of the valley, tied with a dotted
    white silk chiffon ribbon.
    Miss Mary Polllice, of Lockport,
    was the maid of honor and she wore
    a yellow net and taffeta gown, with
    bet and slippers to match. Her
    bouquet wag of blue iris, blue sweetpeas
    and yellow roses tied with a
    blue satin ribbon.
    The four bridesmaids were dressed
    in blue. Miss Anne Gane, sister
    of the bride, and Miss Prances Di
    Angelo, of Lockport, were dressed
    alike in blue net and taffeta dresses
    with bat and slippers to match. Miss
    Margaret Tompkins of North Tonawanda,
    and Miss Mary Gane, sister
    of the bride, were dressed in blue
    chiffon voile with hat and slippers
    to match. All carried large bouquets
    of yellow snapdragons and freesias
    tied with yellow satin ribbons.
    Little Eleanor Lubertl, niece of the
    bride, was the flower girl, and she
    wore a long yellow ruffled organdy
    dress with a yellow ribbon in her
    hair. She wore white slippers and
    carried a small bouquet of blue iris,
    blue sweetpeas and yellow roses, tied
    with a blue satin ribbon.
    Thomas Di Angelo, of Lockport,
    was the best man and the ushers
    were Jack Lubertl and Liberty Camarre,
    both of North Tonawanda.
    Mrs. Peter Gane, the bride's mother,
    was dressed in navy blue silk crepe
    and .wore a corsage of sweetpeas,
    and' Mrs. Anna Bartholomew, the
    bridegroom's mother, wore black
    silk crepe and a corsage of sweetpeas.
    After the ceremony, a wedding
    dinner and reception was held for
    the two families at the home of the
    bride with covers laid for twelve at
    the bride's table which was centered
    with a wedding cake arid decorated
    with white snapdragons.
    Following a wedding trip, the
    couple will be at home to friends at
    92 West Genesee street, Lockport.
    The bride's going-away costume was
    a blue suit With matching accessories.
    Pre-nuptlal affairs in honor of
    the bride were a variety shower
    given by Mrs. Anna Bartholomew,
    of Lockport, a pantry shower given
    by Mrs. Carl Greer, a variety shower
    given by Mrs. Jack Lubertl, a linen
    shower, given by Miss Margaret
    Tompkins, a variety showed given
    by the Misses Alberta Johnson and
    Edith Sugden and a variety shower
    given by Miss Anne Gane, all of
    Tonawanda

    BARTHOLOMEW-Anna Bartholomew,
    widow of the late Pasquale
    Bartholomew, entered Into rest on
    Saturday, March 28th. She Is sur
    vlved by two daughters and seven
    sons, Mrs. Carl Sigismond, Niagara
    Falls, Mrs. Emerson Danley, Joseph
    Bartholomew, William Bartholomew,
    Lewis Bartholomew, Peter Bartholomew.
    John Bartholomew, Leo Bartholomew
    and Roland Bartholomew
    and fourteen grandchildren, Lockport.
    Remains reposing at the Paul
    Reynolds Funeral Home, 46 East
    Ave. where funeral services will be
    held on Wednesday morning at 8:30
    o'clock and 0 o'clock at St. Anthonys
    Church. Interment will be
    in Cold Springs Cemetery
