LEWISTON — Victor "Vic" Gonzales, 69, of Lewiston, NY, was called to Heaven and greeted by our Lord on Saturday, August 18, 2012 in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital Lewiston, NY. Born on July 13, 1943 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Angelo and Josephine (Enzinna) Gonzales and attended local schools.

Vic was employed as a Boiler Operator for Oxy Chemical for 33 years until his retirement. He was co-owner of Rita's Memory Lane with his wife in Lewiston, he enjoyed fishing with his sons, was an avid sports fan and loved spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Rita (Stanek) Gonzales of Lewiston, NY; his sons, Craig (Julie) Gonzales of Lewiston, NY and Kevin (Wendy) Gonzales of Niagara Falls, NY; his daughter, Tina (Dave) Wynes of Louisiana; grandchildren, Ashley, Erica, David, Jr. Wynes, Nicholas, Anthony, Cody Gonzales, Craig Jr. "CJ", Isabella, Sophia Gonzales and Missy; sister, Dolores (Roger) Klimecko of Niagara Falls, NY; brother-in-law, Robert (Denise) Stanek of Niagara Falls, NY; and sister-in-law, Barbara (Dr. William) Russ of Ohio. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Jerry Gonzales.

Friends may call on Wednesday, August 22nd from 2-5 PM and 7-9 PM at ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME, INC., 319-24th St., cor. Welch Ave., Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin at 9:30 AM on Thursday, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Divine Mercy Parish 24th and Niagara Sts., with Rev. Jacek Mazur officiating. Burial following in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. Donations in his memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Amherst Buffalo Office, 315 Alberta Dr., Amherst, NY 14226.
