today in Tully, N.Y., for Walter J.
Batt, formerly of North Tonawanda.
Mr. Batt died Thursday in Orlando,
Fla,. where he had resided for several
years.

at his home. He was 77.
A native of Buffalo, Mr. Batt
had been a resident of Tully for
many years before moving to
Florida. Before his recent move,
he had been employed by Tully
Bakery and Tully Chevrolet
Sales.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs.
Margaret Davis Batt; two
daughters, Mrs. Margaret Robberts
of Syracuse and Mrs.
Rosemary Jacobe of Pompey; a
brother, Frank Batt of Orlando,
Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Ann
Murphy of Buffalo and Mrs.
Josephine Hugoboon of Buffalo;
five grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren;
several nieces
and nephews.
Services were held Tuesday,
May 9, at the Hartwell Funeral
Home and at St. Leo's Church
where the Rev. Joseph K. Nold
officiated at the Mass of
Resurrection. Bearers were Earl
Davis. Robert Guilfoyle. Lawrence
Ryan, Charles Allen,
Rodney Dando and Robert
Coraue. Burial was in St. Leo's
Cemetery.
Walter married JOHNSON, Ina Belle on 19 Jul 1917 in Auburn, Cayuga County, NY. Ina (daughter of JOHNSON, Warren) died on 28 Apr 1919 in Owasco, Cayuga County, NY. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

A pretty wedding occurred Thursday
morning at 9 o'clock at the Holy
Family rectory when Miss Ina Belle
Johnson of Owasco was united in
marriage to Walter J. Batt. son of
Mrs. Rosa R. Batt of North Tonawanda,
N. Y., by the Rev. Dean J. J.
Rickey, pastor of the church. The
bride was attended by Miss Genevieve
Batt, a sister of the groom, as
bridesmaid and Mrs. Fred S. Johnson,
sister-in-law of the bride, was
maid of honor, while the groom was
attended by Fred S. Johnson a
brother of the bride. The bride was
nicely gowned In a silk taffeta suit
of silver grey with hat to match. The
bridesmaid wore a pretty dress of
white lace net and the maid
of honor wore a blue silk dress
trimmed in gold. All carried a bouquet
of roses. After the ceremony a
wedding breakfast was served at the
home of the bride's parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Warren Johnson in Owasco.
The bride gave her attendants each
set of gold lingerie clasps. The
couple left by auto for North Tonawanda
and from there they will go
to Canada by boat for a brief trip
After their return they wil reside in
North Tonawanda. Out of town
guests were Miss Rosa R. Batt, Miss
Josephine Batt and Miss Genevieve
Batt, all of North Tonawanda, N.Y.
