illness. A life long

Tonawanda, Mr. Batt had
operated the Batt Oil Co.,
in North Tonawanda
from 1948 until his
retirement several years
ago.
He is survived by his
wife, Irene (nee Harmon)
Batt; three sons, Thomas
(Carolyn) Batt of North
T o n a w a n d a , Peter
( M a r s h a ) Batt of
Tolland, Conn., and John
Batt of North Tonawanda
and a sister, Mrs. Max
(Regina) Bailey of El
Cajon, Calif., also surviving
are three grandchildren
and many nieces
and nephews.
The family will be
present from 2-4 and 7-9
p.m., at the Hamp
Funeral Home, Inc.,
Adam and Seymour Sts.,
T o n a w a n d a where
prayers will be said at 9
a.m. Tuesday followed by
a Mass of Christian
Burial at 9:30 a.m., at St.
Francis of Assisi Church,
the Rt. Rev.- Msgr. Ralph
M. .Miller officiating.

A pretty wedding took place
Saturday morning, June 25 at
10 o'clock in St. Francis church,
when Miss Irene Harmon, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Harmon
of 20 Edith street was united
in marriage to Robert N. Eatt,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Norbert J.
Batt of 346 Goundry street, the
Rev. John A. Weismantel officiating.
The bride, given in .marriage
by her father, wore a gown of.
white marquisette, with short
puffed sleeves, high neckline and
full skirt, her veil of illusion, arranged
with a halo of gardenias,
falling into a long train. She
carried a shower bouquet of white
roses and gardenias tied with
white satin ribbon. Miss Regina
Batt, sister of the groom, a maid
of honor, wore a gown of pink
mousseline de sois, with silver
slippers and a headdress of roses
and baby breath. She carried a
bouquet of roses and baby breath
tied with pink ribbon.
Elmer Harmon, brother of the
bride, was best man. The bride's
mother, Mrs. Frank Harmon, wore
navy blue crepe with white accessories.
Mrs. Norbert Batt also
.chose navy blue over-flowered
crepe. Both wore corsages.
Following the ceremony a dinner
was served at Tenbrook's.
The bride's going away costume
was a white silk suit.
Mr. and Mrs. Batt have left for
a wedding trip to the New England
states, and upon their return
will reside In 346 Goundry
street.
