    Tolland, Conn., and John
    Batt of North Tonawanda
    and a sister, Mrs. Max
    (Regina) Bailey of El
    Cajon, Calif., also surviving
    are three grandchildren
    and many nieces
    and nephews.
    The family will be
    present from 2-4 and 7-9
    p.m., at the Hamp
    Funeral Home, Inc.,
    Adam and Seymour Sts.,

    a.m. Tuesday followed by
    a Mass of Christian
    Burial at 9:30 a.m., at St.
    Francis of Assisi Church,

    A pretty wedding took place
    Saturday morning, June 25 at
    10 o'clock in St. Francis church,
    when Miss Irene Harmon, daughter
    of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Harmon
    of 20 Edith street was united
    in marriage to Robert N. Eatt,
    son of Mr. and Mrs. Norbert J.
    Batt of 346 Goundry street, the
    Rev. John A. Weismantel officiating.
    The bride, given in .marriage
    by her father, wore a gown of.
    white marquisette, with short
    puffed sleeves, high neckline and
    full skirt, her veil of illusion, arranged
    with a halo of gardenias,
    falling into a long train. She
    carried a shower bouquet of white
    roses and gardenias tied with
    white satin ribbon. Miss Regina
    Batt, sister of the groom, a maid
    of honor, wore a gown of pink
    mousseline de sois, with silver
    slippers and a headdress of roses
    and baby breath. She carried a
    bouquet of roses and baby breath
    tied with pink ribbon.
    Elmer Harmon, brother of the
    bride, was best man. The bride's
    mother, Mrs. Frank Harmon, wore
    navy blue crepe with white accessories.
    Mrs. Norbert Batt also
    .chose navy blue over-flowered
    crepe. Both wore corsages.
    Following the ceremony a dinner
    was served at Tenbrook's.
    The bride's going away costume
    was a white silk suit.
    Mr. and Mrs. Batt have left for
    a wedding trip to the New England
    states, and upon their return
    will reside In 346 Goundry
    street.

    NORTH TONAWANDA. July 15-
    Norbert J. Batt, 64, of 323 Christiana
    street, a life long resident and
    well known businessman here, was
    found dead in his automobile at
    Court and Georgia streets. Buffalo,
    at 3:45 a.m. today. Death was attributed
    to a heart attack.
    Early In life Mr. Batt engaged
    In the lumber business here with
    hli late brothers, Irenus and Raymond
    Batt Following their deaths,
    he left the lumber Industry and engaged
    In the operation of a chain of
    gasoline and oil service stations in
    the Tonawandas, Niagara Falls and
    Amherst. He also conducted a fuel
    oil business here and was president
    of the Batt Oil company. He operated
    three station's at Niagara Falls.
    He was also an extensive owner of
    real estate here, at Buffalo and
    Niagara Falls.
    Mr. Batt Is survived by a daughter.
    Mrs. Max Bailey, of this city;
    three sons, Kenneth and Robert, of
    this city, and Donald Batt, of Niagara
    Falls; five grandchildren, and
    three sisters, Mrs. Hiram Hankin,
    Mrs. John Nuwer and Mrs. Edward
    Lienert, all of Buffalo.

    -Mrs. Lillian Batt, of 223 Christiana
    street, died In the Deaconess
    hospital. Buffalo, late Wednesday.
    She was A lifelong resident of the
    Tonawandfls and the wife of Norbert
    J. Batt. Other survivors are a
    daughter, Rfglna; three sons. Kenneth
    and Robert. North Tonawanda.
    And Donald, Niagara Falls; a
    mother. Mrs. Hattle Plckard; a sister,
    Mrs. Corrlne Lltlcbrldge, nnd
    three brothers, Harry, William and
    Charles Plckard. all of Tonawanda
    Funeral services will be conducted
    tomorrow morning at 9 30 at the
    late residence nnd at 10 o'clock
    from the Ascension church. The
    Rev. Daniel Molloy will officiate.
    Interment will be In Mt. Olivet
    cemetery.

    Miss Lillian Piekard and Norbert
    Batt were married this morning at the
    parsonage of the Church of the Ascension,
    Father Kieran officiating. After
    the ceremony a wedding breakfast
    was given at the home of the bride's
    parents on Fletcher street, only the
    immediate relatives being present.

    The funeral of the late Michael Batt,
    who died on Wednesday nlght at his
    home at No 348 Goundry street, will
    be held from the Ascension church on
    Robinson street tomorrow morning.
    Solemn high mass will be sung by
    Father J. F. Kelly. Burial will be
    made In Mount Olivet cemetery. Tona-
    wanda.

    Michael Batt, 58 years old. of No.
    246 Goundry street, one of the oldest
    and best known business men in
    the Tonawandas, passed away at his
    last night after a lingering ili-
    ness. The deceased was born in
    Williamsville, N Y., in 1853 and
    came to North Tonawanda with his
    parents to live. In 1868. He engaged
    in the manufacture of shingles and
    was a member of the J. S. Bliss
    Shingle Company for many years.
    When the Bliss mill was abandoned.
    Mr. Batt retired, devoting his time
    to looking after his property holdings
    in the Tonawandas.
    Mr. Batt is survived by h i s widow,
    four daughters, Mrs. John E. Nuwer
    and Mrs. H. R. Hankin of Buffalo;
    the Misses Gertrude and Adelaide
    Batt of North Tonawanda; and three
    sons: Norbert Batt of Batavia, Raymond
    Batt of Columbus, O., and Iren-
    us Batt of Pittsburg, Pa.; t w o sisters,
    Mrs. Bessie Diehl and Miss Kate
    Batt of Williamsville, N. Y.; three
    brothers, John Batt, superintendent
    of the water • works of North Tona-
    wanda, Frank and George Batt of
    North Tonawanda. The funeral will
    be held from the Ascension Church

    Mrs. Gertrude J. Batt. 68 years old,
    died suddenly yesterday afternoon at
    her home, 268 Summit avenue, Buffalo.
    Death was due to a stroke of apoplexy.
    Mrs, Batt was in good health up to
    the time she was stricken.
    She was the mother of Mrs. J. Nuwer,
    Mrs. H. R. Hankin and Miss Adelaide
    Batt of Buffalo, Mrs. James V.
    Misner. Norbert and Raymond Batt of
    North Tonawanda, and 11 grandchildren;
    sister of Sister DePazzi, Sister
    Delphina and Sister Philomena of Buffalo;
    Mathilda A. Daul and Eugene
    Daul of North Tonawanda and George
    Daul of Niagara Falls.
    Mrs. Batt was born in Williamsville
    and moved to the Tonawaudas in
    1872. She resided here until three
    years ago, when she moved to Buffalo.
    The funeral will be hold from the
    late residence Friday morning at
    nine o'clock and from St. Mark's
    church, Buffalo at 9:30. Burial will
    be in Mt. Olivet. Mrs. Batt was the
    wife of the late Michael Batt of North
    Tonawanda.
