    Of North Tonawanda, entered with the Lord Saturday, September 21, 2019, at the age of 82, beloved wife of 63 years to Willis "Don" Batt; dearest mother of Charlene (Paul) Zablotny, Paulene Davis and Erik Batt; loving grandmother of four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; predeceased by one sister and seven brothers; sister-in-law of Pat (Jack) Durante; aunt of Bonnie Oddo. Family will be present to greet relatives and friends TUESDAY, September 24, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the SABER FUNERAL HOME, 549 Oliver St., North Tonawanda (692-0271), where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 AM. Interment in Arcacia Park Cemetery. Flowers graciously declined.

    The altar of St. Nicholas Church, Saturday at 10 a.m.
    was banked with bouquets of chrysanthemums, for the
    marriage of Miss Dorothy Jane Luedke, daughter of Mr.
    and Mrs. Julius E. Luedke Sr. of 128 Woodlawn Ave.,
    Buffalo, and W. Donald Batt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert
    A. Batt, of 162 Vandervoort St. The Rt. Rev. Henry B.
    Shaw officiated.
    The bride selected a gown of nylon
    tulle over satin, fashioned with
    a mandarin collar of illusion and
    scalloped lace The long lace
    sleeves terminated in points at the
    wrist. the floor-length skirt was
    gathered nylon tulle and lace. Heri
    finger tip veil of French illusion
    fell from a coronet headpiece with
    rhinestones and orange blossoms;
    she carried a bouquet of calla
    lilies.
    Miss Marion Bulakowski, cousin
    of the bride, was maid of honor.
    She wore a floor-length gown of
    salmon taffta with a velvet
    jacket. She carried a crescent of
    maroon carnation and green net.
    Niece of the bride, Miss Roberts
    M. Luedke, was flower girl. she
    wore a pale green gown of taffeta
    and velvet, and carried a basket
    of yellow carnations.
    Albert H. Batt, was best man
    for his brother, and Richard Batt,
    Jr., ring bearer for his uncle.
    The mother of the bride wore a
    dress of gray with blue accesso-
    ries and a corsage of yellow roses.
    The bridegroom's mother chose a
    blue suit and a corsage of chic
    roses.
    a reception was given in the
    Humbold Park Grill where bases
    of red roses decorated the hall.
    For her honeymoon, the bride
    chose a navy blue suit. Her ac-
    cessories were red, a corsage of
    yellow roses completed her cos-
    tume.

    N. T. Man Stricken, Dies at DeGraff
    Henry W. Strassburg, 64, of 83 Felton street, died suddenly last night in the DeGraff Memorial hospital. He was in the yard at his home when he was stricken with a heart attack. A North Tonawanda police ambulance removed him to the hospital at 9 o'clock. He died there 20 minutes later. A month prior he sustained a slight paralytic stroke.
    Born in the town of Wheatfield, Mr. Strassburg had resided in this vicinity all his life. In recent years he had resided at the Felton street address.
    Surviving are a son, Corp. Harvey Strassburg of Camp Cook, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Albert Batt and Mrs. Donald Townsend of North Tonawanda; nine grandchildren, four brothers, John and Christian of North Tonawanda and Philip and William of Sanborn, and six sisters, Mrs. George Pfanner of Tonawanda, Mrs. William Strassburg of Santa Monica, Calif., Mrs. Herman Mielke, Mrs. Edward Wendt and Mrs. Fred VanDeWater of Sanborn and Mrs. Louis Horaeck of Rochester, N. Y.
    Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock from the residence and at 4 o'clock from St. Mark's Lutheran church. The Rev. Paul Fretthold will officiate and interment will be in St. Mark's cemetery.
