    Funeral services for Lester R.
    Jacobe, 46, of Berwyn road,
    Pompey, were held May 8 at the
    Hall Funeral Home.
    A native of New Woodstock.
    Mr. Jacobe had lived in Pompey
    for 40 years. He was a veteran of
    World War II and a member of
    the Pompey Volunteer Fire
    Department. He was employed
    as a dispatcher with the
    Onondaga County Highway
    Department.
    Survivors are his wife, Mrs.
    Rosemary Batt Jacobe; four
    daughters, the Misses Christine
    L., Sharon A., Kathleen M. and
    Penny K. Jacobe, ail of Pompey;
    his mother, Mrs. George
    Whitton, Compton, Calif.; one
    sister, Mrs. Ruth Burtingham,
    New Woodstock; two brothers,
    Robert I., Buffalo, and Sgt.
    David L. Jacobe, Chanute AFB,
    Ill.: several nieces and nephews.
    The Rev. Thomas Crenshaw
    officiated at the funeral services
    and bearers were John
    McDermott, Andre Goodwater,
    Vernon Rowley, James Lowe,
    Fred BuliioB and William Clark.
    Burial was in Fabius Evergreen
    cemetery.

    today in Tully, N.Y., for Walter J.
    Batt, formerly of North Tonawanda.
    Mr. Batt died Thursday in Orlando,
    Fla,. where he had resided for several
    years.

    Walter J. Batt of Orlando, Fla ,
    and formerly of Tully. died May 4
    at his home. He was 77.
    A native of Buffalo, Mr. Batt
    had been a resident of Tully for

    many years before moving to
    Florida. Before his recent move,
    he had been employed by Tully
    Bakery and Tully Chevrolet
    Sales.

    Surviving are his wife, Mrs.
    Margaret Davis Batt; two
    daughters, Mrs. Margaret Robberts
    of Syracuse and Mrs.
    Rosemary Jacobe of Pompey; a
    brother, Frank Batt of Orlando,
    Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Ann
    Murphy of Buffalo and Mrs.
    Josephine Hugoboon of Buffalo;
    five grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren;
    several nieces
    and nephews.
    Services were held Tuesday,
    May 9, at the Hartwell Funeral
    Home and at St. Leo's Church
    where the Rev. Joseph K. Nold
    officiated at the Mass of
    Resurrection. Bearers were Earl
    Davis. Robert Guilfoyle. Lawrence
    Ryan, Charles Allen,
    Rodney Dando and Robert
    Coraue. Burial was in St. Leo's
    Cemetery.

    So far as can be learned by the
    family. Frank Batt. late of No. ??
    Goundry street, left no will, but
    keys were found this afternoon in
    the family home which are believed
    to be to a safe-deposit vault in a
    falo bank. Members of the family
    will go to Buffalo tomorrow morning
    to find out whether Mr. Batt has
    papers or a will in the vault.
    Bstt wss stricken with paraylsls
    died without regaining his speech.

    was granted letters of administration
    on the $3000 estate of her husband,
    Frank Batt, who died July 4th. Eight
    daughters and five sons survive with
    the mother.
