    The Sacred Heart church, this
    city, was the setting for the marriage
    of Miss Alice Corrine Perry, of
    Warren, Pa., and Dr. Alphonso Leo
    Bax, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred
    Bax,, of this city.
    The ceremony was performed at
    noon, Saturday, June 16. at a Nuptial
    High Mass, at which time the
    Rev. Francls L. Meade, CM., officiated.
    A profusion of lovely spring flowers
    added beauty to the illuminated
    altar where the young couple exchanged
    their marriage vows.
    Miss. Perry, who. entered the
    church on the arm of her uncle,
    Mr. Vennor Bright, of Newcastle,
    Pa., wore a period gown of white
    marquisette, with a sweetheart neckline
    and long sleeves with ruffled
    wristlets. From the neckline to the
    waist the back buttoned with a row
    of tiny covered buttons from which
    cascaded the lovely ruffled circular
    train. Her fingertip veil of double
    Illusion fell from a tiara of orange
    blossoms. She carried a formal bouquet
    of white and sweetheart roses
    with an orchid center, which was
    tied with satin streamers.
    Miss Helen L. Bax', maid of honor
    and sister of the bridegroom, wore
    a gown of. shell pink marquisette
    with matching flowered headdress.
    She carried pink roses and delphinium,
    tied with blue'satin streamers.
    The bridesmaids were Miss Margaret
    Ann Woodworth. of Cleveland,
    Ohio, and Miss Emilia Bax, sister
    of the bridegroom. They wore blue
    crepe and flowered headdresses and
    carried pink roses.
    William A. Balls, B.S., M.D., of
    Pittsburgh, Pa., was best man and
    the ushers were James Reagan, M.D.,
    of Cleveland. Ohio, and Badhi Chagerben,
    M.D, of Brazil, South
    America.
    Mrs. Perry, mother of the bride,
    wore a two-piece gold suit with black
    accessories and a shoulder corsage
    of Talisman roses. Mrs. Bax, mother
    of the bridegroom, wore a navy
    blue sheer with white accessories
    and a shoulder corsage of pink roses.
    After the ceremony, dinner was
    served In the Orchid room of the
    Red Coach Inn. The table was beautifully
    decorated with a five-tier
    wedding cake topped with a miniature
    bride and bridegroom. Double
    branch candelabra and vari-colored
    sweet peas were artistic decorations.
    For traveling the bride chose a
    two-piece suit of aqua crepe with
    white accessories. She wore ai orchid
    shoulder corsage. After traveling
    to New York, Philadelphia and
    points east, the couple will reside
    at Long Island, where Dr. Bax has
    accepted a commission of a first lieutenant
    with the Army Medical corps.
    Miss Ferry is a recent graduate of
    Huron road hospital of East Cleveland,
    Ohio, and Dr. Bax is a graduate
    of Niagara university and-Hahnemann
    Medical college of Philadelphia,
    Pa.

    Mr. and Mrs. Vennor Bright, of Newcastle,
    Pa., Miss Bessie Cover, Mr.
    and Mrs. Gerald Kibbler, of Cleveland,
    Ohio, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur
    Job, of Warren, Ohio, and Mr. Anthony
    DiPasquo, of Philadelphia, Pa.

    Joseph Bax, Dr. A. L. Bax
    and Massimo Bax; t hre e
    daughters,' Mrs. C h a r l es
    (Alice) Rice, Miss Helen Bax
    and Mrs. John (Emilia); Seyler;
    a brother, Romeo Bax; a
    sister, Mrs. Frank Jercitano,
    all of this city, and 19 grandchildren.
    Prayers will be. offered at
    8:45 a.m. Saturday at the M.. J.
    Coluccl Funeral Chapel and
    a Solemn High Mass held at
    Our Lady of Mount Carmel
    Church at 9:30 a.m. Burial
    will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
    The Sacred Heart Mother's
    Club will recite the Rosary at
    7 p.m. Friday at the funeral
    chapel.

    Mrs. Carmella Maria Bax
    75, of 1625 Hyde Park Blvd.
    died Friday'(May 14, 1965) in
    Mount St. Mary's Hospital
    after a long illness.
    She was born In Agnone,
    Italy, Sept. 19, 1889 and came
    to this city in 1914. She was a
    member of Our Lady of Mt.
    Carmol Church. Her husband,
    Alfred Bax, died in 1963.
    Survivors include three
    sons, Dr. A. L. Bax of Lewis-
    ton, Joseph Bax of this city,
    and Massimo Bax of Ransom-
    ville; three daughters, Mrs.
    Charles (Alice) Rice and Miss
    Helen Bax, both of this city,
    and Mrs. John (Emilia) Seyler,
    of the Town of Niagara; two
    sisters, Mrs. Romeo (Lena)
    Bax, of this city and Mrs.
    Elena Barthalamco of Italy;
    and 30 grandchildren.
    Services will be held Monday
    at 8:45 Am. at the M. J.
    Coluccl Funeral Chapel and
    at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel at
    9:30 a.m. Burial will be in St.
    Joseph's Cemetery.
    The Mothers' Club of Bish.
    op Duffy School and the Mothers
    Club of Sacred Heart
    Church will meet to recite the
    Rosary Sunday at 8:30 p.m. At
    the funeral home.
    Friends may call from 1 to 5
    and 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday And
    Sunday.

    Forty-eight persons lost their
    grandmother last nlghfc when Mrs.
    Lucia Bax, 88 years old, of 2318
    Twenty-fourth street, died in Mount
    St. Mary's hospital after a short illness.
    Tho aged woman who had lived
    in Niagara Falls since coming from
    Italy, Is also survived by four sons,
    three-daughters and 14 great- grandchildren.
    8he had a large number
    of friends throughout the east side
    of the city.
    Mrs. Bax's sons, Pardo. Leo. Alfred
    and Romeo, and one daughter,
    Mrs. Anthony Fracitano, all live in
    Niagara Falls. A daughter, Antonietta.
    resides In Italy, and the third
    daughter. Vlncensa, lives in South
    America.
    The funeral will be held from the
    family home at 8:15 o'clock Friday
    morning with services at St. Joseph's
    church,
