    Youngstown-Wllson Road here
    died Saturday (Oct. 9, 1971) in
    Mount St. Mary's Hospital
    after a long illness.
    Born in Owen Sound, Ont.,
    she came to Niagara Falls in
    .1920. She was a New York
    Central Railroad crossing
    guard for 20 years, retiring in
    1968. She was a member of the
    Brotherhood Maintenance of
    Way Employes Lodge No. 865.
    Survivors Include her
    husband, Felix E. Bax; a
    daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Nancy
    Ann) Buckevitz of Schenectady;
    a son, Leo W. Bax of this
    village; a brother, Clyde Fees,
    of Wilson; two sisters, Mrs.
    Inez Mora of Detroit, Mich.,
    and Mrs. > Jean Parks of
    Belfonte, Pa.; and eight
    grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held
    at 9 a.m.. Wednesday at the
    Spallino Funeral Home and at
    9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's
    Church. Burial will be at Gate
    of Heaven Cemetery.
    Friends may call 2 to 5 and 7
    to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday.
    A recitation of the rosary will
    be held at the funeral home at 8
    pjn. Tuesday.

    Leo Bax, 68, of 2318 Twenty-
    fourth street, a retired New York
    Central railroad foreman, died late
    yesterday in Mt. St. Mary's hospital
    after a brief illness.
    A native of Italy, Mr. Bax resided
    in this city for 51 years. He was a
    general foreman for the New York
    Central railroad in charge of track
    layout from this city to Rochester.
    He retired several years ago.
    He was a member of the Loyal
    Order of Moose, the New York Cen-
    tral Veterans' association, the 50-
    year Honor Roll club of the New
    York Central and past president of
    the Maintenance of Way Railroad
    Maintenance union.
    Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Er-
    nestine Bax, and 11 children, Mrs.
    Constantino Lombardi, Mrs. Earl
    Mang, Anthony, Louis, Frank and
    Felix, all of this city; Mrs. Joseph
    Camper, North Tonawanda; Mrs.
    James Gough, Youngstown; Ralph
    and James Bax, both of Lewiston ;
    and Mrs. Ronald Raden, Detroit,
    Mich. Two brothers, Alfred and
    Romeo Bax, a sister, Mrs. Frank
    Erucitano, 38 grandchildren and ten
    great-grandchildren, also survive.
    Funeral services will be held at
    the family home Saturday at 9:30
    a.m. and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Jos-
    eph's church with interment in Gate
    of Heaven cemetery.

    in Niagara Falls since coming from
    Italy, Is also survived by four sons,
    three-daughters and 14 great- grandchildren.
    8he had a large number
    of friends throughout the east side
    of the city.
    Mrs. Bax's sons, Pardo. Leo. Alfred
    and Romeo, and one daughter,
    Mrs. Anthony Fracitano, all live in
    Niagara Falls. A daughter, Antonietta.
    resides In Italy, and the third
    daughter. Vlncensa, lives in South
    America.
    The funeral will be held from the
    family home at 8:15 o'clock Friday
    morning with services at St. Joseph's
    church,
