    NIAGARA FALLS — Eleanor C. Murphy, age 85, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, died on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 in the Autumn Ridge Assisted Living of Clarkson in Holly, MI, after a lengthy illness. Eleanor was born January 21, 1927 in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of the late George and Frances (Theis) Weidert. She was a graduate of Trott Vocational High School and lived in Niagara Falls until moving to Michigan 20 years ago.

    She was the widow of Francis Murphy, who died June 1, 1976. Eleanor is survived by five daughters, Charlene Murphy of Niagara Falls, NY, Linda (Alan) Truesdale of Youngstown, Corinne (Robert) Garrison of Holly, MI, Trisha (Jerry) White of the Town of Niagara, and Janell (Angelo) Farbo of Lewiston; a sister-in-law, Marion Weidert; 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, William and George (the late Jane) Weidert.

    Funeral Services and Burial were private in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston. Arrangements were entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Sts., Lewiston.

    MRS. FRANCIS MURPHY- The former Miss Fleanor Weidert, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George L. Weidert, Sr., Michigan avenue, became the bride of Mr.
    Francis Murphy, son of Mr. and Mrs. John J. Murphy, Ninth street, at Sacred Heart church. The young couple is on a two months wedding trip to Phoenix,
    Ariz.

    George L. Weidert, 64, of
    2497 Michigan Ave., and the
    long-time proprietor of the
    Weidert Automobile Collision
    Shop, died Sunday (June 11,
    1961) in Memorial Hospital
    after an illness Of several
    years.
    Mr. Weidert was born in
    Kane, Pa., and had resided in
    Niagara Falls since 1916. Having
    run the auto collision shop
    for 35 years, he retired in
    1952 due to ill health. Since
    his retirement he spent the
    winters in Florida, and divided
    his residency between
    Kane and Niagara Falls
    He is survived by his wife,
    Frances; a daughter, Mrs.
    Francis (Eleanor) M u r p h y,
    and a son William D. Weidert,
    all of this city, another son,
    George L. Weidert Jr. of Ransomville,
    and 10 grandchildren.
    He is also survived by three
    half-brothers, Francis W. and
    Leo A. Davis, both of this
    city,. Jerome B. Davis -of the
    USAF in New York City, and
    a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Johnson,
    of Endicott,
    Funeral services will be
    held Wednesday at 9:15 a.m.
    at the Otto Redanz Funeral
    Home, and 9:45.a.m. at Sacred
    Heart Church. Burial will be
    in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
