    Sunday, after which Mrs. Cox made
    the announcement of the engagement
    of her daughter, Miss Marion Cox,
    ta.Pfc. Howard A. Beachner, son of
    Mr. and Mrs. George Beachner. Among
    those present at the party were Mr.
    and Mrs. George Beachner Jr., Mr.
    and Mrs. R. J. Barr; Mr. and Mrs.
    A. E. Stritzel and family of Rochester;
    Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Helden,
    Rev. and Mrs. V. Ivor Evans; Mr. F.

    Sr. Later in the evening a Christmas
    party was held at the home of
    Sir. and Mrs. A. E. Stritzel of Rochester.

    A very pretty wedding took place
    on Monday June 18, a t 6 pjn. at the
    home of Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Heldes,
    666 Hard Road, when Miss Marion
    Cox, daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. S.
    Cox of Rochester, became the bride
    of Cpl- Howard A. Beachner, son of
    Mr. and Mrs. George Beachner, Sr. of
    Drum Road. . ..-.*°°"-
    The Rev. B. Ivor Evans, uncle of
    the bridegroom performed the double
    ring ceremony before an arch of
    palms and white spring flowers.
    The bride was given In marriage
    by her father. She wore a gown of
    white marquisette with fingertip veil,
    Illusion tulle, held by a tiara of orange
    blossoms' and carried white ro-
    'ses, snapdragons and orchids.
    Mrs. Erwin Heldes, sister of the
    bridegroom wa3 matron- of honor and
    wore a blue marquisette gown and
    carried red roses.
    James Beachner was best man foV
    his brother.
    The bride's mother wore navy blue
    with white accessories and the bridegroom's
    mother wore red and white
    bemburg with white accessories and
    both wore corsages of yellow roses.
    Dinner was served at Vaughan's
    Tea Room to members of the immediate
    families. Later a reception was
    held at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
    Erwin Heides. Hostesses at the reception
    were Mrs. A. Stritzel, Miss
    Mary Jane Stritzel and Mrs. George
    Beachner Jr.
    After a honeymoon trip to Canada,
    Mrs. Beachner will reside with her
    parents at 42 Delaware St. Rochester,
    and Cpl. Beachner will return to
    Mountain Home, Idaho, where he is
    stationed.
