after a long illness.
Mr. Hanes was a member of
Salem United Church of Christ
and a retired employe of
Spaulding Fibre. Beloved
husband of Lillian (nee Krause)
Hanes, father of Mrs. Richard
(Lois) Howell, Norman,
William, Howard, David, all of
North Tonawanda; Donald of
Lockport (Rapids, N.Y.), and
Robert Hanes of Sanborn, N.Y.
Grandfather of 16 grandchildren,
brother of Mrs.
Mabel Furio, Mrs. Arnold
(Alice) Beasock and Mrs.
Lillian Schwiechlier, Albert and
Frank Hanes, all of North
Tonawanda.
Friends received by the
family starting Saturday,
March 13, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
p.m. at the Brunner Funeral
Home, 156 Robinson St., North
Tonawanda, where services
will be held Monday, March 15,
at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. Karl Rest
will officiate. Interment at
Acacia Park Cemetery. In lieu
of flowers, memorials may be
sent to a charity of donor's

Charles A. Hanes. 82, died last
evening at his home,_ 548 Elm-
wood avenue. Nortn Tonawanda,
after an illness of a few weeks.
Born in St. Lawrence county, N.
Y.. he had resided here the past
57 years. He is survived by his
wife. Mary E.. nee Nagel; five
sons. Roy of Tonawanda, Lester,
Albert. Frank and Henry of Nortn
Tonawanda; three daughters, Mrs.
Daniel Furio, Mrs.
Schweichler and Mrs. Arnold
Beasock of North Tonawanda; 18
grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Rites will be held Friday
afternoon at 2 o'clock from the
Hamp Funeral Home, 37 Adam
street. The Rev. G. L. Burghard
will officiate Burial will be
Elmlawn.
