LEWISTON — Dorothy L. (Rivers) Wojton passed away on Friday, October 19, 2012, at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Facility. She was 90. She was born in Niagara Falls on February 16, 1922, the daughter of William and Elizabeth (Ward) Rivers. She attended local schools and then married Benny A. Wojton on November 16, 1946, and they remained happily married until his passing in 2000.

Mrs. Wojton enjoyed singing, playing the piano, bingo and bowling, but her greatest pleasure was her time with her family. Dorothy shared a three generation birthday with granddaughter, Lori, and great-grandson, Danny.

She is survived by her two children, Patricia Ventry of Atlanta, GA; and Andrew Wojton of Denver, CO; three grandchildren, Lori Wojton of Tracy, CA; and Bryan and Joseph Ventry of Athens, GA; three great-grandchildren, Danny Wojton, Nick Delatorre and Michael Mendiola. She is also survived by two siblings, Stanley (Jettie) Rivers, Rita (late Walter) Miller and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Edward Rivers, Marie (Phillip) Dury and Margaret (Elwood) Steele; and step-father, George Larsen.

Friends may call at the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Ave., on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM, where services will be held at 9 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in her honor.
