    The marriage of Miss Mary Por-
    ter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam-
    uel Porter, of Spruce avenue, and
    Mr. Mark Hopkins Beecher, son of
    Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Beecher, of san-
    born, was solemnized Friday eve-
    ning September 1, at 7:30 at the
    First Congregational church of this
    city, the Rev. Joseph A. Zimmer-
    man officiating. The church was
    beautifully decorated with plants
    and baskets of garden flowers. The
    organist, Mr. McDannel, accompan-
    ied Miss Aisle Rogers, who sand
    "Oh, Promise Me' and "I Love You
    Truly."
    The bride, who was given in mar-
    riage by her father, was lovely in
    her white silk lace, princess style
    gown, with Queen.Anne collar and

    a flowing train. She carried an arm
    bouquet of orange tea rosebudf and
    dainty baby's breath. tied with a
    white satin ribbon.
    Miss Nan Footer, maid of honor
    and sister of the bride, wore a pale
    pink taffeta, gown with matching
    shirred Jacket and a large wljlte
    horsehair picture bat with baby
    blue hem-length streamers. She carried
    an arm bouquet of talisman
    roses and baby's breath, tied tfith
    a pink statin ribbon.
    The mother of the bride wore, a
    gown of Suez lace and the bridegroom's
    mother wore a dark blue
    crepe with beaded trimming. Both
    wore corsages of pink rosebuds and
    baby's breath.
    Mr. Donald Beecher, the groom's
    brother, was the best man and the
    ushers were Mr. Daniel Beecher and
    Mr. Elmer Woolcutt.
    A reception-for about 40 guests
    was held at the New Imperial hotel,
    where the table .was decorated with
    roses and .centered" with a lovely
    tiered wedding cake. .The bride's
    parents held open house after the
    reception, at their home in Soruce
    avenue, where' additional guests
    were entertained with music and
    dancing. . ..
    Mr. and l b s . Mark Becher left
    immediately for an-extended tour
    of Washington, D. ° C'., and other
    cities. The bride traveled in a grey
    tailored suit, silver fox Jacket and
    black accessories. -The couple will
    reside at 655 Main street,
    Pre-nuptlals were a variety shower
    given by Mrs. C. L. Beecher of
    Sanborn and a shower'by Mrs. Elmer
    Woolcutt and Mrs.'Thomas Mc-
    Mahon at the Samovar. Many lovely
    gifts were received by Miss Porter.

    Beecher, 64, of Maple, street, died
    today at Meyer Memorial hospital,
    Buffalo. He had been ill since No-
    vember.
    Funeral services for Mr. Beecher
    will be held at his home at 2:30 p.
    m. Monday. The Rev. William
    Work will officiate.
    A native of Orleans county, Mr.
    Beecher had lived in Sanborn tor 25
    years. He was ^formerly employed
    as a crossing watchman at the Cambria'Station
    by the New York Central
    railroad.
    Surviving are his wife, Inga Beecher;
    three sons. Mark H. Beecher, Niagara'Falls,
    Daniel M. and Donald
    E. Beecher, Sanborn: three sisters,
    Mrs Kenneth Sanborn, Tonawanda.
    Mrs. Howard Jeffrie. Albion, and
    Mrs, Frank Meyers, Batavia.
    Burial will be in Memorial Park

    Inga M. Beecher, 88, formerly of Maple Street, died Tuesday (April 7, 1981) in the Carol Lou Mora Care Center, Bradenton, Fla., after a long illness. She was a native of Viking, Minn., and had resided in Sanborn prior to moving to Florida in 1965. Her husband, Clair L. Beecher, died in 1951. She is survived by three sons, Mark H. Beecher of Niagara Falls and Donald and Daniel Beecher, both of Sanborn; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Rhoney Funeral Home, Sanborn, with the Rev. Kenneth E. Traxler officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 pm. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

    of 942 Niagara Ave., a resident
    of this city for the last 35
    years, died Tuesday (March
    31, 1964) at Memorial Hospital
    after a three-month illness.
    A native of Stevenson, Scotland,
    Mrs. Porter lived for
    three years in Niagara Falls,
    Ont., before moving to this
    city. She was a member of
    First Congregational Church.
    Surviving are her husband,
    Samuel; two daughters, Mrs.
    Mark H. Beecher, Lewiston,
    and Mrs. Hugh (Nan) F.
    Smith, Niagara Falls. Ont.;
    three sisters, M r s . John Mc-

    Beecher, 89, of 29 Loretta street,
    died yesterday at her home. She
    was born in Shelby, N. Y., and had
    resided here the last two years.
    She was a member of the Barre
    Center, N. Y, Presbyterian church.
    Surviving are three daughters,
    Mrs. Frank Meyers, of Elba, N. Y.,
    Mrs. Howard Jeffry, of Albion, and
    Mrs. Kenneth Sanborn, of Tonawanda;
    one son, Clair Beecher, of
    Sanborn,' N. Y.; 18 grandchildren
    and 31 great grandchildren;
    The funeral will be held Friday
    at 2 p. m. at the Billiard funeral
    home, 147 Delaware street. The
    Bar. John H. Sandmeyer will officiate,
    interment will be at East
    Shelby, N.Y.

    ALBION, Jan. 3.-The 56th weeding
    anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Lyman
    Beecher, West State Street, was
    observed at a family dinner Saturday
    evening at the home of their daughter,
    Mrs. Howard Jeffrey, Carolina
    Street.
    Mr. and Mrs. Beecher were born in
    the neighborhood, eight miles south
    of Medina. Their wedding, on Dec.
    31, 1876, took place in Ossinek, Mich,
    where Miss Henrietta Sanborn, the
    bride, had moved with her father, Is
    rael Sanborn. The father, as a Justice
    of the peace, united them in civil
    ceremony.
    Four daughters, 18 grandchildren
    and five great-gradchildren have been
    born.
