    She was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on December 7, 1944, the daughter of the late Elmer and Loella [Trudeau] Pressley.
    Mrs. Beecher graduated from Niagara Wheatfield in 1962 and was an operator with New York Telephone for several years.
    She had lived in Sanborn and  Youngstown before moving to Bradenton in 2003. 
    Mrs. Beecher enjoyed spending time with her family and shopping.
    She is survived by her husband of 52 years Ross Beecher, two daughters Denise (Jack) Savage and Marlene (James) Cardinale, four grandchildren Chelsea, Cody, Colin and Jimmy, a great grandson Jimmy and was the sister of Doreen (Barry) Melton and Eric (Marie) Pressley, also survived by many nieces and nephews.
    Her family will be present on Saturday from 2-5 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY.
    Memorials may be made in her name to the American Red Cross.
    Inurnment in Acacia Park Cemetery, Town of Pendleton, NY.

    SANBORN - Donald E. Beecher, 78, of Maple Street, died Oct. 16, 1996, in Lockport Memorial Hospital after having an apparent heart attack while playing golf. He was born Sept. 2, 1918, in East Barre, the son of Clair L. and Inga M. (Engen) Beecher. He moved to Sanborn as a child and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1936. He married the former Marian 1. Johnson on Nov. 9, 1940. Mr. Beecher worked for the Union Carbide Corp. for several years after graduation, then opened Beecher Brothers, an oil, heating, air conditioning and appliance business, with his twin brother, Daniel M. Beecher, who died in 1995. Mr. Beecher retired in 1977. He was a charter member of the Sanborn Lions Club and a life member of the Sanborn Volunteer Fire Co. He played the trumpet in the fire company band for several years. Mr. Beecher attended Sanborn United Methodist Church and was a member of the International Order of Oddfellows and the Wheatfield Bowling League. An avid golfer, he won the first Sanborn Open Golf Tournament in 1979. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Susan B. Sandoval of Davis, Calif.; two sons, Ross D. Beecher of Youngstown and Douglas C. Beecher of Fremont, Calif.; a brother, Mark Beecher. of Lewiston; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The Rev. Benson A. Benton conducted funeral services Sunday at the Rhoney Funeral Home. Burial was to be at the convenience of the family in North Ridge Cemetery, Cambria. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or Niagara Hospice Inc.

    -The Sanborn Methodist
    church was the scene of a
    lovely fall wedding on Saturday,
    November 9. at 4 p. m. when
    Marian Irene Johnson/ e l d e st
    daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William
    Johnson, of Peal street, was united
    In marriage to Donald E. Beecher,
    son of Mr. and Mrs. Claire Beecher,
    of Maple street. The Rev. P. L.
    Harbura officiated assisted by the
    Rev. Frank N. Taft.
    The altar was effeclvery decorated
    with large baskets of white and
    yelow chrysanthemums, ferns and
    cathedral candles. Miss Eva Balcom
    played the wedding music and, preceedlng
    the ceremony, Miss Laura
    Perchen sang, "Because,- and "O
    Promise Me."
    The bride, who entered the
    church on the arm of her father,
    was beautifully gowned in white
    satin made on princess lines with
    swetheart neckline. Her finger-tip
    veil of illusion was held in place
    by a coronet of pearsl. She carried
    a waterfall bouquet of Klllarney
    tea roses. The maid of honor Miss
    Helen Johnson sister of the bride
    was dressed In pale blue taffeta and
    carried pink premiere tea roses.
    Miss Dorothy Johnson, sister of
    the bride, was bridesmaind and
    wore pale pink taffeta and carried
    pink premiere tea roses. Daniel
    Beecher twin, brother of the groom,
    was the best man and Ross Johnson,
    brother of the bride, and Mark
    Beecher, brother of the groom, were
    the ushers.
    Mrs. William Johnson, mother of
    the bride, and Mrs. Claire Beecher,
    mother of the groom, were both
    dressed in wine crepe with matching
    accessories and wore corsages
    of Talisman roses.
    A reception was held in the
    church dining room immediately
    following the Ceremony. Quests
    were present from Caistor Center
    and Hamilton, Ont„ Buffalo, Niagara
    Palls and Sanborn.
    Mr. and Mrs. Beecher left on a
    wedding trip to New York City and
    Washington, D. O. The bride's going-
    away outfit was a brown and
    beige dress with a wine coat and
    accessories. On their return the
    couple will reside in Sanborn.

    today at Meyer Memorial hospital,
    Buffalo. He had been ill since No-
    vember.
    Funeral services for Mr. Beecher

    m. Monday. The Rev. William
    Work will officiate.
    A native of Orleans county, Mr.
    Beecher had lived in Sanborn tor 25
    years. He was ^formerly employed
    as a crossing watchman at the Cambria'Station

    railroad.

She was a native of Viking, Minn., and had resided in Sanborn prior to moving to Florida in 1965. Her husband, Clair L. Beecher, died in 1951. She is survived by three sons, Mark H. Beecher of Niagara Falls and Donald and Daniel Beecher, both of Sanborn; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Rhoney Funeral Home, Sanborn, with the Rev. Kenneth E. Traxler officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 pm. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
